What We Need:
We are looking for a full time, Los Angeles based social media manager for The Candidly- this role will support our Editor-In-Chief in the fast-paced environment of a scrappy start-up.
You have a deep love and understanding for all things social media. You’re organized, detail oriented and love to create content. You’re a self-starter and take initiative on projects/tasks. You are also something of a culture hound and a content nerd. You might also worship Fleabag, but it’s not *technically* a requirement.
In this role, you will help implement the social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and our newsletter. You will manage the social media accounts, create compelling content, and analyze performance metrics to optimize campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Content Creation: Develop and curate engaging photo and video content for various social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Newsletter
•Graphic Design: Instagram story creation, newsletter design and deployment, with strategic best practices for maximum effectiveness
•Daily Posting: Manually post and monitor all content across all platforms
• Community Management: Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers, fostering a positive online community.
• Analytics and Reporting: Analyze social media metrics and prepare reports on campaign performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Trend Monitoring: Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team to integrate social media efforts with overall marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field with a high GPA.
• Proven experience as a Corporate Social Media Manager or similar role.
•Video capture and editing skills
•Working knowledge Planoly, Link my Photos, etc
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Proficiency in social media management and graphic design tools.
• Experience with analytics tools.
• Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies.
Salary: The salary range for this position is between $80,000-$85,000
