Edelman is seeking a dynamic Account Executive (AE) to join our Corporate Reputation team! In this key role, you'll support some of the world’s most renowned brands across industries such as professional services, food and beverage, retail, and healthcare. Our team helps clients address their most pressing business challenges, effectively communicating to a wide range of stakeholders and enhancing their corporate reputation.
We’re looking for someone who is a strong writer and creative thinker. The right candidate must be detailed, organized and eager to learn and work with clients in a variety of fast-paced industries. This is a great multi-discipline opportunity to bring your relevant experience in public relations, media relations, crisis and/or issues management, social purpose, stakeholder engagement and digital marketing to Edelman.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the creation of communications plans and materials that meet client objectives
- Demonstrate the ability to write, edit and proofread to create high quality internal and external communications content, including client presentations, press materials, scripts, newsletter articles, opinion editorials, trade features and social media posts, ensuring high quality and consistency with appropriate writing styles
- Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
- Build relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Manage projects using organizational skills, working with colleagues, vendors and support agencies, keeping project leaders apprised of status
- Learn key client information, including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors
- Consistently produce high-quality internal and external communications content often under tight timelines and with competing priorities
- Coordinate client touchpoints, helping to set the agenda and provide action-oriented recaps
- Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plans and owning media monitoring needs to identify and draft flags of relevant news
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
- Supervise staff junior to you by motivating, coaching, and consistently providing feedback
- Aid in new business processes including idea contribution, research, and proposal preparation

Basic Qualifications:
- An Account Executive must have at least one year of relevant experience in public relations and/or a related communications field such as journalism, advertising, marketing, or digital communications/marketing
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- A solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they are used, along with solid research, writing and editing skills.
- Competitive candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneously
- You should have the ability to develop relationships with media and apply experience and initiative in developing traditional and digital media relationship strategies
- Prior agency or public relations experience is strongly preferred
$42,000 - $62,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
