Content Strategist

The Role
We are looking for a Content Strategist to join our Marketing team. You will be responsible for ideating with the creative team, sourcing, improving, and maintaining content and the strategy to achieve our business goals. Your duties will also include creating content strategy, and managing content for social media to raise brand awareness and monitoring web traffic and metrics to identify best practices. Ultimately, you should be able to oversee all marketing content initiatives to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency, and a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Bring innovation to the brand in the form of photo and video content for all marketing and social media.
- Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing strategies and KPIs.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan, develop and source all content, style, and layout.
- Source, create and manage publishing content with Social Media Coordinator.
- Edit, proofread, and improve writers’ posts.
- Liaise with content creators to ensure brand consistency – working with existing creators, sourcing new creators, and introducing the brand to new, fresh faces.
- Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users’ engagement metrics.
- Manage the archive and distribution of all content on air (current archive system) and Google Drive.
- Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic.
- Develop an editorial calendar and work closely with creative partners to ensure an on-time and on brand execution.
- Stay up to date with developments and generate new ideas to draw the audience's attention.
Content Ideation:
- Accountable for authentic content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention.
- Collaborates across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives at the lowest possible cost.
- This role requires a brand publisher mindset: create the content our audience is looking for and then to optimize the path to conversion.
- Development of editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style, and tone.
- Channel management of digital content hubs and all supporting social channels including email / newsletter distribution. This person must understand the best practices of the main social media channels, which content and approaches work on each and why.
- Integration of content programs with brand campaigns to drive brand awareness.
- Writing of creative briefs and content outlines to manage the creative process both internally and with external creators.
Content Creation:
- Management of creative resources including photographers/ videographers and other 3rd party personnel hired to help create content.
- Concepting and producing video and stills on a regular basis for content for social, web and other channels.
- Work with managers to develop new storylines for marketing endeavors, product launches, and other content that feeds the consumer journey.
- Be reactive to offer ideas on opportunistic posts/stories to capitalize on momentum.
- Develop a close working relationship with the creative team to get insight into creative strategy, execution, and available assets.
- Manage a content budget that includes a set number of deliverables for the budget.
- Collaborate with manager, email, website teams and social specialists to promote viewership of content to ensure we reach KPIs established.
Social Channel Oversight & Strategy:
- Lead and manage social strategy for channels.
- Oversee Social calendar and execution for social channels.
- Set the course for what Social Media means at PATH by establishing a strategic vision for all social channels and KPIs to measure success.
- Continue to build the channels – acquiring new consumers and building engagement.
- Strategize on ways to use content to build traffic.
- Manage and direct Social Media Coordinator
Analytics and Reporting:
- Improve on our current social media reporting to ensure it is relevant and actionable.
- Work to derive insights that make us stronger/ better/ nimbler in the social space.
- Monthly competitive trend analysis to show how we’re tracking against brand metrics outlined at the beginning of the year.
- Analyze performance of content across multiple channels and KPIʻs to ensure performance and optimization.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Deeply passionate about PATH and inspired by what we represent. Has the desire and hunger to make an impact.
- Enthusiastic and comfortable working in an early stage company. Ability to think rapidly in a growing and changing environment.
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously – you can run with something from beginning to end.
- Proven work experience as a Content Manager/Strategist.
- Experience using Sprout Social is a plus.
- Experience creating content for the web and growing a social audience.
- Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it.
- Ability to analyze and present content and social performance.
- Excellent writing skills in English.
- Attention to detail.
- Great organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. While the range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, the final offer amount will depend on the factors listed above.
