About The Role & Program
The Creative & Cultural Diversity department oversees FX and FX Productions’ commitment to diversity and inclusion by ensuring representation and equity are reflected in all aspects of the company’s culture, creative relationships and content! The team collaborates closely with Disney Entertainment Television’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion team on corporate and FX-specific initiatives. This role will support the development and execution of programs and initiatives that will produce diverse and inclusive content and culture at FX Networks, FX Productions, and all FX Original Programming.
As an intern on this team, you will report directly to the Coordinator of Creative and Cultural Diversity at FX.
What You Will Do
As our Creative and Cultural Diversity Intern, you'll play a key role in supporting our coordinator in executing a variety of exciting initiatives. Your day-to-day tasks will involve researching diverse vendors to enhance our programming and brainstorming innovative ways to broaden our storytelling aperture through engaging events and learning opportunities. You’ll help run logistics for all of FX’s cultural events, including Heritage Months, our quarterly music mixer, and other morale-building initiatives.
In addition to the fun stuff, you'll also assist with keeping our operations running smoothly by updating important department records, organization, and note-taking. On event days, you’ll be our on-site champion, helping oversee activities to ensure everything is executed efficiently. On any given day, you will:
- Support the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that grow the FX brand as an industry-leader committed to cultural diversity.
- Support the Coordinator in managing day to day operations, including but not limited to; taking detailed notes during meetings, record-keeping, and other logistics as assigned by SVP & Coordinator.
- Support FX Affinity Groups with Heritage Month and other community activations, including drafting invite language, creating graphics, liaising with vendors, tracking attendance and expenditures.
- Craft monthly FX Cultural Events Newsletter to FX community in partnership with DET DEI and other TWDC shared services.
- Assist with FX Inclusion Think Tank deliverables and logistics, including helping build PowerPoint presentations and communication documents for the Think Tank.
- Partner with Coordinator to maintain records and track inclusion standards reporting.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Deep familiarity with FX’s brand and content
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Keynote
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; active listening skills
- An inclusive mindset and personal dedication to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- High attention to detail and experience with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and discretion when given access to sensitive information
- Has previous experience working in a corporate environment
- Passion for television/media/storytelling
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in the television/entertainment industry
- Possesses a mindset of innovation and thinking outside the box when it comes to finding ways to champion inclusive content and strategy
- Has a positive can-do attitude and is open to feedback
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and Airtable
Education
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- A student studying in their senior year or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
- Fully available for the duration of the internship, working 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Los Angeles, CA area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work in the Los Angeles, CA area

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
