What You Will Do
We are seeking an intern who will be an outstanding addition to the Hulu Originals content marketing team. At Hulu, the originals marketing team is responsible for the strategic development for our series marketing campaigns, breakthrough creative, engaging social, groundbreaking consumer events and best in class publicity for our Original series. In this role, you will be intersecting the publicity and awards teams. This role is based in Los Angeles, where you will report to both the Senior Manager of Awards and Publicist for Originals. You’ll work closely with teams across Marketing, Legal, Social, Communications, Paid Media, and more!
Responsibilities
- Compile daily press clippings and publicity recaps.
- Draft communications documents: briefing sheets, pitches, trailer/key art, weekly Awards newsletter and screener blasts.
- Assist with on-the-ground industry events and communications, including talent interviews, premiere events, awards screenings, junkets, and set visits.
- Put together first drafts of talent schedules and learn publicity logistics, such as booking flights, hotels, and cars.
- Update and organize media lists, press materials, and team documents while assigning screeners to media and managing media inquiries.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions
- Help track and measure PR campaign performance
- Help track Awards nominations and wins
- Inform how we can elevate the strategic approach to publicity campaigns by identifying new trends and researching the competitive landscape.
- Compile and distribute creative marketing materials for digital media placements
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Passion for Hulu content, storytelling, publicity, television, entertainment, and pop culture.
- An understanding of project management, analytics, and the media landscape (including print and digital outlets, broadcast shows, and podcasts)
- Excellent oral/written communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Google and Microsoft Suite and understanding of social platforms.
Education
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- A student studying in their senior year or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
- All candidates must be willing to work 40 hours/week (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor)
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Santa Monica, CA. area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
