The Communications & Marketing Specialist will assist the VP of Communications in managing the EnerGeo Alliance’s growing Communications & Marketing department. This will involve working within the primary workflows of the department as well as cross-team coordination. The department's objectives include articulating and delivering key messages to its members and external global stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be skilled in crafting compelling content, managing time effectively, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple workflows in parallel.
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Communications
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
Business writing: Write content for company social media, newsletter, website, etc.
Material development: Develop marketing materials (digital and print) such as leaflets, brochures, fact sheets, etc.
Standard workflows: Support standard communications and marketing processes, including attending meetings and actioning follow-ups with internal and external stakeholders.
Events management: Market and promote company events (both internal and external), support speaking relationships, and stakeholder sponsorship.
External suppliers’ coordination: Coordinate service suppliers such as graphics designers to ensure content is delivered on time and compliant with requirements.
Software experience: Proficient use of email marketing tools (i.e., Mailchimp, AxiosHQ), social media platforms (i.e., LinkedIn), social media planning tools (i.e., Sprout), website admin software (i.e., WordPress Admin), internal work management tools (i.e., Monday).
Website/social media analytics reporting: Create website/social media analytics dashboards to extract and report data-driven performance indicators.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 to 4 years’ experience in a similar role and subject matter expertise.
- Basic knowledge of graphic tools (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva) is a plus.
- Knowledge of the energy industry is an asset but not a mandatory requirement.
