Position: Digital Marketing & Communications Manager
Reports to: Director of Membership
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing all aspects of communications for Royal Oaks Country Club by marketing its programs, activities and standards by skillful marketing to current and future members, as well as to the community as a whole. This position will also be responsible for maintaining the Club’s website and all social media platforms. Occasional Executive Administrative responsibilities. (Assists the Board of Directors and General Manager)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with other Department Heads to create, update and maintain each department’s literature and promotional materials to consistently market ROCC, Club programs and Club events, whether in electronic or printed format
- Updates and maintains Club’s website (Jonas Club Management Software) to ensure its usefulness to current and potential members including but not limited to:
• Weekly Happenings Page updated every Tuesday
• Operating Hours for all departments and amenities
• Staff contacts for each department
• Ladies Association page and content
• Sports Club, Fitness, Pools, and Spa pages (Group Exercise Schedules, Promotions, Events)
• Golf Pages (Instruction, Tournament Schedules, Programming)
• Dining Pages (Menus, Weekly Features, Wine & Beverage)
• Membership Page
• Youth Activities (Swimming, Golf, Tennis, Summer Camps, etc.)
• Private Events & Catering
• Tennis
• Club Board of Directors, Committees, Documents
• Social Events
• Image Galleries
• Calendar
- Creates a bi-monthly ‘La Vie’ newsletter in digital and printed version for Membership
o In Design creation
o collects articles and content from all departments to include in newsletter
o creates copy write for upcoming events and promotions
- Creates and transmits e-mail blasts for each department to provide a consistent message and appearance, including a weekly e-newsletter that provides upcoming events and features
- Maintains and updates email contact segments and lists
- Assists Members having trouble receiving emails or logging into membership portal
- Collaborates with the Membership Director to update member information, target market groups and create materials for prospective members
- Collaborates with the Food & Beverage department to create and update club dining menus and dining room promotions
- Provides photography duties to keep a current library of Club images effective for marketing
- Implements, enforces, and maintains communication and style standards
- Responsibilities include ensuring photos are taken at events to be determined by Membership Director for marketing purposes.
- Manage all current social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) as well as explores and develops additional opportunities for social media presence
- Designs and creates artwork for all departments (flyers, posters, menus, logos, stickers, invitations, social media graphics, signage, etc.)
- Work with Committee Chairs and appropriate Department Heads to effectively communicate and further the Committee’s goals
- Track and record any media coverage of The Club (including, but not limited to publications, websites, blogs, radio/TV interviews, etc.) Responds to all phone calls, messages, inquiries, and e-mails regarding communications and marketing for ROCC
- Manages effectiveness of email marketing, website, and social media by read rates and site visit metrics
- Adheres to all of the various written mandatory standards of operation, policies, procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job
- Studies ROCC Bylaws, House Rules, and Board Policies and carries them forth as needed
- Plans and implements strategies to meet the Club’s communications/membership sales goals
- Attends various workshops for training purposes and has a network of other Communications Representatives in clubs across the US
- Supports the General Manager in all Club marketing, communications endeavors and Board of Directors communications and meeting set-up Perform all work-related duties as assigned by Director of Membership or General Manager.
- Manages the Royal Oaks Country Club App and works directly with app developers to make necessary changes.
- Assists Members experiencing technical difficulties with the ROCC App or website.
- Develop video tutorials for educational purposes.
- Able to multitask and assist various departments.
Qualification/Requirements:
- Must be extremely organized and accurate in writing/grammar usage
- Must be a self-starter and able to work without immediate supervision
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays according to Club business needs
- Team player and promoter
- Must be comfortable holding others to deadlines
Education/Training/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or any related field, from a four-year University
- Minimum of 2 years in a communications/marketing role
