Overview:
Aces is a private community for the top 100 firm leaders in venture capital. Think of us as a social club, but exclusively for world-class firm leaders. Our goal is to help our members build deep, life-long relationships with each other.
The Community:
- Aces has accepted our 100 members so far, which include principals, partners and GPs from top-tier funds like A16Z, Khosla, Menlo, GV, Lightspeed, and more. Our members collectively represent over $100B in AUM.
- We’re a digital-first members' club that curates private calls, guest Q&As, and more. Once a month, we host dinners in our members' homes in NY, SF, and LA. Once a year, we organize a community-wide trip.
Your Role: Community Manager
As our 'Community Manager,' you'll be second in command to me, helping to support the day-to-day operations of the community, including hosting, event planning, programming, logistics, admin, and more. This is a versatile role for a true generalist who loves working with people.
What you’ll own:
1.) Monthly Dinners in SF, NY, LA
- Coordinating venues with members and liaising with team (chef, photographer, etc.).
- Managing invites, menus, on-site logistics, and post-event photo editing and sharing.
2.) Monthly Newsletter
- Texting members 1:1 to collect updates.
- Compiling and sending out the newsletter monthly.
3.) Monthly Meeting
- Creating and sending an invitation for Monthly Meeting.
- Creating agenda and co-hosting the meeting with our founder.
4.) Community Admin
- Own the creation of a yearly schedule for all monthly calls, dinners, our yearly trip, and manage comms around reminders and Google Calendar invites.
- Manage the onboarding and off-boarding of members, including sending welcome packages and co-hosting onboarding calls with Max.
- Initiate and moderate the group chat, create daily polls, and share relevant articles
5.) Company Admin
- Managing payroll and assisting with tax prep with accountant.
- Paying vendors (chef, photographers, etc.)
- Generating receipts & managing billing q's.

Bonus: You’re familiar with tools like Notion, Airtable, Google Calendar, etc.

Compensation: $80k/year.
Location: On-site in Los Angeles, with travel to NY and SF as needed.
