Description
Reporting to the Workforce Engagement Manager, the Employee Engagement Specialist will be responsible for inspiring and informing our growing team, enabling them to deliver FWC26. This role will require collaboration with functional areas across our team, communicating both operational information and team-building content across our 3-country, 16-city FWC26 team. Ultimately, this role will allow the thousands of FWC26 team members to have the information they need to do their jobs, feel connected to one another and the mission of the World Cup.
THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and actions of the Employee Engagement Specialist for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- Understanding the operational needs of different teams across FWC26 and supporting them in communicating with the rest of the team
- Drafting, finalising and sending written communication via email, newsletter, intranet articles and other digital channels
- Working creatively to deliver messages and information in engaging and inspiring formats – creating digital media content where useful (photo, audio, video etc.)
- Building and delivering presentations and training materials, digitally and in-person
- Maintaining active user distribution lists across our internal channels
- Plan, promote and deliver engaging activities and events to better connect and educate our team across multiple locations
- Deliver multiple elements of the Workforce Experience Journey – providing useful information accessibly and enhancing the experience of our team members
- Interview team members and create content to share their stories with the rest of our team
- Oversee and promote team member community engagement programs, a team recognition and awards program and regular internal social events
YOUR PROFILE
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, media / marketing, journalism, business administration, sports management or similar field and level of higher education
Work Experience
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a similar role required
- Understanding of content planning, creation and delivery, editorial processes, campaigns and schedules
- Event management, community management / engagement, working with multiple stakeholders and groups within a company or project.
- Experience in marketing, coaching, teaching or training would be a plus – experienced in communicating messages with impact in diverse groups
Languages
- Fluent in English, with a high level of professional written English. Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Do you speak football / sport? An understanding of FIFA, the World Cup, football / soccer or other sporting tournaments / events is preferable.
Technology
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook a necessity, basic Excel needed)
- Experience with a content management system / website or blog / email distribution tool would be an asset
- Use of Canva, Adobe Photoshop and video editing a plus
