The Program Coordinator organizes and administers the logistics and communication in support of our holistic health advocacy programs. This individual builds and maintains strong relationships with the volunteers who serve our neighbors. In addition, the Program Coordinator works closely with the leadership team to support their individual needs when requested.
Responsibilities
Program Coordination
- Manages and communicates program logistics, including dates, times and locations, as well as site coordination.
- Publishes and maintains volunteer opportunities.
- Facilitates internal volunteer sign-ups.
- Monitors status of sign-ups and proactively communicates when scheduling gaps exist.
- Coordinates and replenishes supplies as needed to carry out the NSON programs.
- Periodically attends onsite events, including volunteer orientations and program delivery.
- Supports the Prayer Advocacy Team (in conjunction with the NSON Spiritual Director) by monitoring and editing the prayer list as well as administering the overall process for gathering prayers.
- Maintains and updates the community resources listing.
- Administer Practice Fusion and train new users in collaboration with the Nursing Program Director.
- Oversee NSON resources and the supplies and materials needed to serve neighbors in need.
Volunteer Management
- Oversees the volunteer recruitment process from initial contact to onboarding, including periodic reporting of key recruiting statistics. Reports status of recruiting to leadership team on a weekly basis.
- Maintains and updates a volunteer database including demographics, licensure information, CPR, required paperwork, as well as skills and participation activities. Reports missing information to the leadership team on a weekly basis.
- Secures and maintains duplicate hard copy files.
- Maintains the Volunteer Handbook.
- Partners with the leadership team to create high-impact volunteer events, including program orientations and community meetings
Administrative
- Articulate the NSON vision, mission, unique value proposition and impact story, as well as the overall strategy and direction of the organization.
- Maintains the calendar of events and internal meetings.
- Organizes and schedules volunteer events in coordination with the leadership team.
- Drafts the quarterly newsletter with input from the leadership team.
- Provides administrative support to the leadership team when needed.
- Maintains a donor listing and sends confirmation letters.
- Prepares meeting minutes.
- Monitors and replenishes office supplies as needed.
Communications/Website/Social Media
- Learns and uses Canva (or similar) to create consistent communications.
- Maintains the NSON social media pages and presence.
- Maintains the Amazon wishlist.
- Updates the NSON website as needed.
- Aids in ad hoc projects as needed.
Experience and Desired Qualifications
- Called in faith to the NSON vision and mission.
- Sensitivity to the dynamics and belief system of a local faith community.
- Spiritual maturity with an ability and willingness to share and engage in Christ-centered faith-based discussions.
- Undergraduate degree preferred. Work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to ask for clarity and assistance when needed.
- Manages time wisely and responds promptly.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Effectively uses Google Workspace.
- Social media experience preferred.
