The Marketing Communication Associate at Biotage is pivotal in supporting the company’s marketing efforts. This role involves collaborating with the Market Segment Managers and the sales team to plan, coordinate and execute field marketing programs, including tradeshows, virtual events, webinars and other digital marketing initiatives. Plans, coordinates, and executes tradeshows & events, including inventory management, packaging, shipping, logistics and staff travel plans. Manages promotions and outbound advertising, marketing communications, sales support materials, social media communication, and other activities in support of sales and marketing. The focus is on demand generation, keeping within the NA marketing budget. The role also involves compiling an analyzing data to provide accurate reports on the impact and outcomes of marketing programs and initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of event marketing plan: collaborate with rMSMs to select events based on plan objectives and define omnichannel approach to achieve objectives.
- Plan, execute and coordinate trade show exhibits, promotions, packaging, shipping, logistics, and staff travel plans. As well as travel to and manage trade shows when necessary.
- Develop the campaign plan based on persona and customer journey and work with the rMSMs and global colleagues to execute tactics and demand generation plan.
- Lead the development and execution of an optimal social media posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics.
- Train co-workers to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way.
- Execute development of assets, such as emails, landing pages, registration forms, promotion flyers, collateral using tools such as Adobe Indesign, Photoshop or Hubspot and ensure brand and messaging consistency across all marketing departments.
- Proof, edit, and write marketing materials, customer cases, blogs, press releases, internal newsletter articles, and literature.
- Stay up to date on marketing trends and emerging technologies in digital marketing. Be the digital marketing reference in the NA marketing team.
- Track and measure campaign performance, ensuring metrics such as lead acquisition, conversion rates and ROI are met or exceeded. Suggest adjustments to strategies based on these metrics to optimize performance
- Evaluate and manage relationships with third party vendors, tools, services that can support event execution and campaign deployment.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's or MS degree in marketing or relevant field or at least 3-4 years of marketing experience in a relevant marketing role supporting direct marketing, market segmentation, marketing research, marketing projects, reporting.
- Demonstrated marketing campaign competency, implementing a mix of tactics including digital marketing, direct marketing, e-pushes, tradeshows and online customer events, with in depth knowledge of social media platforms and marketing automation.
- Proficiency with online marketing strategies and marketing channels, including an in-depth knowledge of SEO.
- Prior work experience coordinating social media posts with copy and creative images on multiple platforms.
- Ability to manage and drive multiple projects simultaneously and meet internal deadlines.
- Experience with graphic design software editors (Adobe photoshop, InDesign, or illustrator)
- Proficiency with SalesForce, Hubspot, google analytics and web analysis tools.
- Experience planning and coordinating events & exhibits, including tracking inventory, packaging, shipping, logistics and travel plans.
