Position Overview:
The Head of Marketing will lead the development and implementation of the company's marketing strategy to generate leads. This role involves strategic planning, content management, and direct involvement in marketing initiatives, including conceptualizing and managing the execution of digital campaigns, social media management, and determining which conferences to attend and developing conference strategy to secure leads, as well as attending conferences as needed. This candidate will use data to inform decisions and strategy.
We are seeking a proactive individual who is not just a delegator, but a hands-on doer who takes initiative and gets things done. As a startup, we need someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute directly to our projects and goals.
Goals/Metrics:
- Increase booked appointments from 7 per week to 14 per week within 6 months
- Expand the marketing contact newsletter list from 100 new contacts per month to 200 per month within 12 months
- Increase email open rate by 25% within 6 months
- Use a data-driven analysis to understand competitors’ social posting frequency and quality to determine 7e’s planned outward social media communications, and develop a set of reasonable and stretch objectives to compete in this space
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Analytics:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to generate leads of potential investors
- Develop, allocate, and manage the overall marketing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources across all channels to maximize ROI and achieve strategic business objectives
- Collaborate with senior management to align marketing efforts with company goals and brand
- Develop and track metrics/measurables and conduct data analysis to understand the most successful and least successful lead sources and channels, and use data to improve marketing strategy
- Conduct market research and data analysis to segment investor base to better understand and communicate with current and future investors
Lead Gen & Campaign Creation
- Manage marketing campaigns from conception to execution, ensuring effective use of resources and measuring ROI
- Conduct research to determine company's participation in conferences and develop conference strategy to secure leads, including securing speaking opportunities as appropriate. Manage conference logistics.
- Oversee monthly internal webinar strategy and marketing efforts, collaborating with team to determine topics
- Lead team to secure 3-5 speaking opportunities for the founders per quarter (conferences, real estate investing groups, professional groups)
- Lead team to secure 2 unique guest podcast speaking opportunities for the founders per month
Email Marketing Campaigns
- Email Campaign Strategy and Execution: Develop, implement, and manage email marketing strategies and campaigns, including webinar invitations, newsletters, and automated workflows, to drive engagement and conversions
- Audience Segmentation and Personalization: Utilize data and analytics to segment email lists and deliver targeted, personalized content that enhances relevance and engagement
- Performance Analysis and Optimization: Track and analyze key email metrics, conduct A/B testing, and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Content Management
- Manage and approve/edit the creation of all content creation across multiple channels, including email, digital, and social media.
- Ensure brand consistency across all platforms, conferences, and marketing materials and content
- Create power point presentations for webinars and speaking engagements
Social Media
- Manage social media engagement across multiple platforms, responding to comments
- Spearhead company LinkedIn strategy to enhance professional engagement and brand visibility.
- Source and manage VAs and contractors to oversee content creation and video-clip creation
- Source and manage team/contractor to complete post-production for platforms like Vimeo and YouTube and manage YouTube account and playlists
- Develop blog posts and ensure content readiness for platforms like BiggerPockets, creating 3 posts per month.
Other
- Manage monthly and ad-hoc website updates through contractor, ensuring timely posting of promotional materials.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Required: Marketing experience for raising capital / alternative investments
- Required: 3-5 years minimum demonstrable experience in capital raise marketing
- Ability to create, implement and monitor Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound goals
- Proven and demonstrable experience in lead generation, marketing strategy, and analytics
- Strong project management and leadership skills; must be able to work with all levels including CEO and individual contributors; must be able to self-direct and set own timelines.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in data analysis and market research to support decision-making.
