Midwest Petroleum Equipment is the industry’s leading developer of retail gas stations and private fuel systems and is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead our brands growth and innovation in the petroleum industry!
Responsibilities
- The Director of Marketing and Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for developing and executing MPE’s overall marketing strategy to enhance brand awareness, attract new customers, and drive business growth.
- Direct marketing and branding initiatives and oversee comprehensive MPE marketing plan to coordinate various objectives including but not limited to MPE web site, social media channels, e-newsletter, and other forms of digital and traditional advertising.
- Responsible for the overall look and presentation of MPE Branch Office locations. Develop standard operating procedures with Office Managers and Regional Manager and maintain shared vendors and suppliers to create continuity between all branch locations.
- Represent MPE at seminars, tradeshows, conferences and additional special events to enhance the MPE brand, learn industry best practices and develop community relations objectives
- Responsible for the overall strategy and brand management of MPE company apparel, gifts, staff uniforms, fleet, promotional products, PPE, and marketing materials.
- Responsible for the overall management and coordination of MPE industry association programs including but not limited to: Petroleum Equipment Institute, Nebraska Petroleum Marketers Association, Fuel Iowa, FuelTrue (KS), South Dakota Petroleum Marketers Association, Minnesota Petroleum Marketers Association, Association of General Contractors, and Renewable Fuels/Ethanol Association coordination.
- Manage company event calendar to ensure planning and coordination with company leaders and sales team members.
- Manage and coordinate MPE employee and customer events to cultivate strong company culture and help grow the MPE brand with customer retention and development.
- Work with company leaders in developing and executing strategic plans to grow revenue, develop new programs and build the MPE brand.
- Manage associated budgets for marketing, sponsorship, donations, and advertising.
- Work in a team-oriented environment requires working and communicating positively and professionally with fellow employees, customers, and vendors.
- Research Industry or Related Industry Best Practices and develop strategies to integrate them into MPE
- Visit each branch office quarterly to manage Team and Safety Meeting.
- Serve on MPE leadership and management team.
- Manage and coordinate special projects and assignments with the CEO
- Performs additional duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as marketing manager with 5+ Years in management or leadership role
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand management, and customer segmentation
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions
- Creative and strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field

Hours And Travel
- This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday
- Daily travel is primarily local, but some overnight regional travel will be required (25%)
