Chenega Services & Federal Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Health Communication Specialist to provide HAB programs support for statistical analysis of complex survey data, web content and design, administrative support, health communications, and program evaluation in order to meet public health goals and objectives of the Arthritis, Alzheimer’s, and Epilepsy programs.

- Conduct formative research to aid in communication planning, including message testing for public health programs or communication campaigns.
- Identify and analyze potential audiences and partners for social marketing and/or health communication efforts.
- Develop and/or update strategic annual communication plans to advance communication and social marketing goals and implement communication strategies for HAB.
- Identify health communication concepts for potential development into communication products.
- Develop messages and materials based on new CDC data releases and publications to advance scientific information dissemination and uptake.
- Develop communication messages and tools to promote and advance funded partner initiatives aligned with CDC/HAB program goals.
- Plan and develop materials and implement activities outlined each year in the HAB Strategic Communication Plan (SACP).
- Execute materials development, production, revisions and clearance as needed in accordance with the SACP.
- Provide art direction/graphic design and support.
- Work with Division/NCCDPHP/CDC Communication staff to secure services or support for podcast and newsletter development and distribution, along with photography/video elements for communication tools.
- Conduct technical writing and editing activities and the related development of communication packages to include items such as information briefs, fact sheets or other documents, infographics and PowerPoint presentations.
- Work with Division communication staff to manage media requests in collaboration with SMEs.
- Conduct health communication campaign planning, development, and evaluation including social media campaigns.
- Design and implement formal rollout plans for high profile releases - including FAQs for difficult questions, social media, and/or other media.
- Develop communication products (including website content, articles talking points, campaigns podcast, newsletters, infographics) and developing social media marketing plans.
- Bachelor’s in related field, or Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience
