The National Black MBA Association is seeking a Creative Services Manager to join our team. The NBMBAA Creative Services Manager (CSM) brings strategic ideas to life through creative ideation and flawless execution. This position will report to the VP of Brand and is a utility player. The CSM creates and directs creative output for the NBMBAA brand from the early concept stages through to production. Duties include graphic design work, working with department leads to create a shared vision, and managing both internal and external resources to complete projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Creative Design and Content
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design acting as a brand steward, upholding brand standards and consistency in all projects.
- Create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software like the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Support internal departments with the development of collateral, presentations, videos, and other related items.
- Obtain input from management, ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent NBMBAA or partner/sponsor appropriately.
- Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with marketing team, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
Project Management
- Draft, edit and manage the design and production of all marketing and promotional materials, including all NBMBAA publications, newsletter, and other organizational media assets.
- Manage internal design staff to ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule.
- Manage and direct the work of external agencies and/or contractors in the design space.
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams for a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communication, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Review final layouts and suggest improvements when necessary.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing additional tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts or Design or related post-secondary training/education.
- Experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors is ideal. Agency experience is a plus.
- 7 – 10 years of experience in in professional graphic design, with time spent managing and growing a team, preferably with a creative or marketing agency.
- A broad portfolio which demonstrates expertise across a range of platforms and channels and content formats (print, digital, video, web, etc.)
- Excellent project management skills, with a strong attention to detail from concept development through production for flawless end results
- Superior communication skills, the ability to be tactful and diplomatic but also firm and, above all, clear
- Proficient knowledge of MAC OS and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and platforms used for internal/client marketing.
