We have a growing list of new retail partners including top brands like William Sonoma, Design Within Reach, and Terra Outdoor. Our offices are located in the Bayview area San Francisco facility which includes our customer showroom, made-to-order custom factory, and warehouse.
About the Role
We are looking for a talented multi-media visual designer to enhance our online presence with eye-catching and professional graphic designs & content creation for use across all marketing and sales efforts including website, email, social media channels, retail, trade shows, and more. As a visual designer & content creator, you will consult with the G&J team, both internal and external stakeholders, to determine design requirements, submit draft concepts for approval, and develop similar design prototypes for our other branded products.
This role is a Remote, Contract Hourly role. In-person would be considered at our San Francisco Headquarters if applicable.
Visual Designer Responsibilities:- Designing original graphics, images, and videos & content using the Galanter & Jones brand guidelines
- Submitting visual design concepts & content for brainstorming and approval in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with IT, developers, and marketing team in aligning visual designs with website functionalities.
- Developing templates to uniformly integrate logos and brand images to other products and platforms, including social media
- Knowledge of video editing software to make reels, short videos for You Tube etc
- Designing product collateral, working closely with printing houses
- Consulting with the project team and determining visual design preferences and expectations.
Visual Designer Requirements:- 5-7 years of experience as a visual designer, or similar.
- Some photography or videography skills a plus
- A complete portfolio of visual design examples.
- Advanced proficiency in visual design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite's InDesign, Canva, Photoshop, and Illustrator and video editing software
- Knowledge of newsletter templates
- Knowledge of social media standards & requirements
- Knowledge of programming languages such as HTML and JavaScript would be advantageous.
- Extensive experience in determining visual design preferences and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional ability to collaborate on visual design projects and integrate feedback.
- Excellent communication skills.
Salary: between $40-$60 depending on experience
