Girls on the Run of the Rockies is hiring! We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator with graphic design experience to support our continued growth while increasing our brand awareness. The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Development & Marketing Director. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who believes in the Girls on the Run mission of empowering girls and is able to translate that to our outward facing image on social media, through media outlets, and more. We are looking to maintain a consistent social media presence, provide effective marketing materials for our stakeholders, and increase brand awareness through impactful engagement. The Marketing Coordinator will also prioritize inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA) in internal and external communications.
Skills the Marketing Coordinator will need to be successful:
- Communication - the ideal candidate will learn our audiences and key messaging to effectively communicate with various stakeholders - coaches, volunteers, donors, etc.
- Eye for Design - while most of the work needed can be done through Canva, a working knowledge of Adobe Design Suite or similar is important for more complex projects.
- Anticipation of needs - proactive discussion and development of materials to support strategic efforts including program, events, and development.
- Creativity - our organization has branding guidelines that we work within but being creative is still possible and highly encouraged! We are a leading council because we have found ways to connect with our audiences.
- Adaptability - we are a dynamic organization and our needs are constantly changing. The ability to adapt will be critical to being an impactful member of our team.
What the Marketing Coordinator will do:
- Work closely with Development & Marketing Director to determine organizational needs for social media, eMarketing, print, & opportunistic events
- Draft copy for specific social media campaigns throughout the year including volunteer recruitment, program registration, seasonal posts, 5K events, and/or End of Year Giving
- Manage a comprehensive content calendar for all external communications & campaigns
- Develop cohesive graphics to complement copy based on specific platforms
- Manage & grow our audience on social media platforms - Instagram, LinkedIn, & TikTok
- Assist in developing outward-facing marketing materials including brochures, flyers, and reports, including message development, graphics and design
- Evaluate social media metrics and share with stakeholders when necessary
- Develop e-newsletter campaigns that align with social media strategy, annual council milestones, and recruitment needs
- Maintain up-to-date distribution lists for specific campaigns via our email marketing platform
- Research and apply for community recognition opportunities (volunteers, organizations, etc)
- Support staff and organization in community events, program site visits, 5K logistics and fundraising campaigns
Required Qualifications
- Passion for Girls on the Run mission
- Proven design skills - portfolios include digital & print campaign assets
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Cultural competence to communicate with groups of diverse adults and children in respectful, equitable, and inclusive ways; commitment to creating an equitable and inclusive environment in all spaces
- Self-motivated, capable of working well independently and collectively with limited supervision
- Computer competence, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, data management programs, email, Canva, and Adobe Design Suite
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make efficient decisions
- Comfortable and motivated in a hybrid work environment
- Video editing experience or desire to learn

Salary Range:
$45,000 - $50,000 annually

Girls on the Run of the Rockies offers health, vision and dental plans to its employees. Benefits also include short and long-term disability and retirement plan. Benefits start immediately but are based on tenure at the organization. Detailed information on benefits will be provided through the interview process and during your onboarding process. We offer generous PTO accrued monthly as well as office holidays.
Work Environment:
Hybrid environment (typically 2 days in the DTC office, 7000 E Belleview, STE 130, Greenwood Village, CO / 3 days remote; may involve more in-office days around peak times of the season)
