Position Overview
We're seeking a creative and energetic Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern to help build and grow our online presence across multiple digital channels. This unpaid internship offers valuable hands-on experience in startup and fitness and wellness marketing and the opportunity to significantly impact our brand's digital footprint as we prepare for market launch.
Responsibilities
Social Media
- Create engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
- Develop and maintain a content calendar for consistent posting
- Track social media analytics and provide insights on performance
- Research fitness industry trends and competitor social media strategies
- Assist with photography and video content during our pilot program with a fitness center
- Engage with followers and build our online community
Email Marketing
- Draft compelling email newsletter content for studio owners and fitness professionals
- Help segment our email lists for targeted campaigns
- Assist in designing email templates that align with our brand identity
- Track and analyze email performance metrics
- Support lead nurturing campaigns related to our pilot program
Digital Marketing
- Contribute to website content updates and blog posts
- Support SEO initiatives to improve our online visibility
- Assist with basic digital ad creation and management
- Help monitor digital analytics and provide insights
Requirements
- Holds or is currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Basic understanding of email marketing principles
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.) a plus
- Basic photography and video editing abilities
- Interest in fitness, wellness, or Pilates is a plus
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is beneficial
Details
- Duration: 3 months (April-June 2025), with possibility of extension into a paid role
- Hours: 10-15 hours per week, flexible schedule
- Location: Hybrid - NYC
- Compensation: Unpaid, but academic credit available if applicable through your institution
- Benefits: Free access to reformer Pilates classes throughout the internship period
