Position Overview
PLAE Legacy is seeking a proactive and creative Projects Manager to oversee the execution three key 2025 projects: two short films, and a studio album. The perfect manager will drive audience growth, engagement, and monetization opportunities by coordinating production, marketing, and distribution efforts across platforms.
This role requires a blend of project management, marketing expertise, and
creative problem-solving to ensure synergy between projects and maximize impact
with limited resources.
Summary of Tasks
The Projects Manager will be responsible for the following actionable tasks:
- Timeline Management: Maintain a month-by-month calendar, coordinating milestones such as single releases, album launch, and two film releases. Ensure timely execution of teasers, production schedules, and distribution plans.
- Cross-Promotion Execution: Manage creation of content bridges, such as behind-the-scenes videos connecting projects, for social media and website.
- Platform Coordination: Oversee website updates, YouTube uploads, streaming platform submissions via Distrokid, and social media campaigns (Instagram, TikTok, X) tailored to target.
- Marketing Implementation: Facilitate pre-release teasers, manage engagement tactics, secure partnerships, and allocate marketing efforts within budget, focusing on organic growth and targeted ads.
- Production Oversight: Coordinate with VFX editors for videos, and manage the film crew and contacts for casting, styling, etc..
- Audience Building: Implement tactics to grow subscribers/followers, such as newsletter sign-ups, user-generated content challenges, and events.
- Monetization Support: Launch merchandise sales (t-shirts, posters), explore sponsorships, and lay groundwork for long-term revenue streams, ensuring future scalability.
- Analytics Tracking: Monitor KPIs (streaming numbers, view counts, engagement metrics) using tools like Google Analytics, YouTube Studio, and Spotify for Artists, providing weekly reports and projections -able to adjust if goals are not met.
- Risk Mitigation: Anticipate and address challenges by maintaining contingency plans, backup schedules, and flexible resource allocation, ensuring project completion.
Required Skills
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple timelines, coordinate teams, and meet deadlines, with experience overseeing creative projects from concept to completion.
- Marketing Expertise: Strong understanding of digital marketing, including social media campaigns (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), SEO, and audience engagement strategies.
- Content Creation Familiarity: Experience with music and film production processes, including coordinating with editors, videographers, and artists, and understanding narrative integration across mediums.
- Platform Proficiency: Hands-on experience with YouTube, streaming platforms and distribution services, website management tools (e.g., Shopify, Google Analytics), and social media analytics.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to consult with team members, manage partnerships, and engage audiences effectively, with a knack for storytelling to promote the PLAE universe.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Innovative thinking to maximize impact with constrained resources, such as leveraging user-generated content or virtual reality tools, and addressing past project feedback.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working with diverse creative teams (e.g., VFX editors, cinematographers, musicians) and managing external contacts (e.g., influencers, festival submissions).
Estimated Hours: 20 hours per week.
Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience and scope of responsibilities.
