About Turning Green:
Turning Green is a global student-led movement devoted to cultivating a healthy, just, resilient planet through education and advocacy around climate justice, environmental sustainability, and public health. We educate, empower, and mobilize elementary, middle, high school, college and graduate students to become visionary catalysts for sustainable change and positive social impact in their lives, school campuses, and local communities.
About Project Green Challenge:
For fourteen years, Project Green Challenge has empowered thousands of students across the globe to embark on a lifelong climate action journey and lead change in their communities.
Project Green Challenge is a powerful, diverse call to action with 30 days of eco-themed challenges each October since 2011. Built around conscious living, grassroots advocacy, informed consumption, and movement building, over 2m participants have transitioned from conventional to conscious by shifting mindsets and behavior. This program first consists of a 30-day gamified online challenge. At the end of the 30 days, up to 14 finalists are selected from global participants to attend the PGC Finals in San Francisco, CA and begin the next phase of their Climate Action Projects. They will give their final presentations in April 2026 via Zoom.

They consist of an overview on the topic (with links to more resources), four additional educational resources - a TED talk, an infographic, a video, and a song of the day – ahead of the day’s Green, Greener, and Greenest challenges.
Each challenge is live for 24 hours, inviting participants to complete actions and upload content to acquire points and prizes. Deliverables include photos, videos, creative and written pieces that are uploaded on the PGC site, as well as shared across social platforms.
Internship roles include:
- Challenge research, updating and editing
- Development of 30-days of themed resources
