Position: Marketing & Business Development Specialist
Reports to: Vice President, Sales
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Marketing
Location/Shift: Lahlouh, Inc. (Burlingame, CA) / Day
Position Summary
This position is exempt and will work with the VP of Sales to assist in tasks required to assist overall selling efforts.
Responsibilities
Budgeting —Responsible for creation and management of annual marketing budget—build budget to meet company objectives, track spend to ensure adherence to budget, track Return on Investment (ROI) to measure performance, etc.
Marketing Initiatives —Oversee and project manage all marketing initiatives to ensure they stay on schedule and meet stated goals. Initiatives include, but are not limited to, the following
Create Client Presentations (PowerPoint, Canva)
Oversee digital marketing services and content creation provided by Marketing Assistant (Contractor) and delegate projects, as appropriate.
1 Monthly Newsletter
2 Monthly Blog posts
Social media updates; 4 per week per platform (LinkedIn, Instagram & Facebook)
Special projects, as needed
Oversee Website Updates ( oversee updates and maintenance—work with web designer contractor)
Provide oversight and support for Client Marketing Events
Create and manage marketing content, collateral, self-promotion tools, email cadences, videos, inventory, samples, etc.
Handle special requests from Account Executives (presentations, one-pagers, videos, samples, email cadences, RFPs, etc.)
Manage, organize, coordinate, and oversee complex, cross-functional marketing projects through to completion (direct mail campaigns, design & print projects, redemption portals, email campaigns, etc.)
Marketing Strategy & ROI .
Provide marketing analytics management and reporting to analyze effectiveness
Set goals and tone for overall marketing strategy.
Make recommendations for additions to or changes to overall marketing initiatives and/or budget to improve results.
Measure ROI on all marketing initiatives, where possible (i.e., lead generation, new business development lead source, social media followers, etc.)
Review marketing analytics and determine trends, identify issues, identify opportunities, suggest action, etc.
New Business Development
Oversee info@lahlouh.com leads and quantify results of new business leads.
Develop Request for Proposal (RFP) & Request for Information (RFI) database and tools and aid sales representatives on all responses.
Manage list of prospective and existing clients in Lahlouh CRM, who “opt-in” to receive marketing materials.
Communications —Ongoing Communication regarding marketing initiatives and updates:
Work closely with Dir. of Sales (Print Reps) and Snr. Director of Promo (Promo Reps) to understand their requirements for marketing support and to provide creative solutions to assist their teams to meet new business development goals.
Regular check-ins with Director of Sales & Director of Promo to ensure their marketing needs are being met.
Regular check-in with Snr. VP of Sales & Marketing to discuss ongoing projects, opportunities, issues, etc.
Manage ongoing posts to Sales SharePoint site/Communication Hub—sample gallery, marketing resource links, client presentations, etc.
Announcements to Account Executives, as needed to keep them engaged in marketing activities.
Schedule and facilitate meetings, and document meeting notes and action items, as related to marketing initiatives.
Oversee and maintain Sales Sample Room
Brand Guidelines —Ensure adherence to Lahlouh style guidelines for all marketing services
Education & Training —Stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape and adjust our marketing plan, accordingly. Provide and deliver training and user support, as needed
Customer Satisfaction — Conduct annual client satisfaction survey to comply with ISO manufacturing stated goals.
Qualifications
Excellent project management skills
Proficient knowledge of commercial printing industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven experience with marketing and new business development
Experience building PowerPoint Presentations, Canva Presentation Decks, Flipping Books, Videos, etc.
Must be highly organized, flexible, self-motivated, and willing to learn and accept additional responsibilities
Must be responsive to the needs of the department and be able to tackle various projects without losing focus
Good organizational skills, persistent follow-up, effective interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality
Good professional judgment with ability to work independently
Proficient knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Canva, Excel (including Pivot Tables & Charts), PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote, and Outlook
Compensation
$90,000-$120,000/annually.
