Position Title: Part-Time Communications Coordinator
Reports To: Executive Director
Purpose
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for the creation of promotional materials to
build and develop the L.O.V.E. brand. Working cooperatively with L.O.V.E.’s leadership team,
the Communications Coordinator will facilitate effective communication, information flow and
teamwork while performing specific activities necessary for goals and objectives to be met. The
Communications Coordinator will provide support in areas such as marketing, advertising, and
media relations. They also actively pursue professional development through knowledge
sharing and collaborative skill-building activities with colleagues.
The Communications Coordinator undertakes a variety of administrative and management
tasks. They will help in scheduling conferences, seminars, and meetings as well as carrying out
important operational duties. To be an excellent Communications Coordinator, you must be
organized and detail-oriented, and comfortable working with diverse teams.
Responsibilities:
● Organize, create and curate material for social media, suggest new opportunities for
strengthening social media presence
● Assist with creating external e-newsletter using MailChimp
● Provide support with scheduling meetings, events, and appointments
● Provide proofreading assistance for written materials throughout our office
● Support miscellaneous writing and editing projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
● B.A. degree or higher from an accredited college or university
● Passion and interest in L.O.V.E.’s empowerment mission
● Proven ability and knowledge of social media platforms, especially Instagram, Facebook,
and Youtube
● Creative capacity, plus experience and interest in storytelling
● Candidate must have strong organizational and communications skills, be detail-
oriented, and reliable. Must have the ability to work efficiently both independently and as
part of a team
