Title: Director, Economic Inclusion
Reports to: Vice President, Economic Inclusion and Leadership Development

Location: Tampa, FL
Objective
To advance the mission of the Tampa Bay Chamber by directing the Minority Business Accelerator program and achieving measurable results under the leadership of the Vice President of Economic Inclusion and Leadership Development.
Responsibilities
· Direct and implement all recruitment, programming, and funding for the Minority Business Accelerator.
· Build strategic relationships with businesses and community organizations to promote the program and create a steady referral funnel for participants, mentors, and subject matter experts.
· Maintain “Sustaining Sponsors” and identify other funding sources to help grow the financial sustainability of the MBA program.
· Produce quarterly and annual impact reports to demonstrate the program’s alignment with the Tampa Bay Chamber’s 2026 Vision Plan.
· Oversee and manage implementation of monthly education sessions, quarterly mentor roundtables, quarterly leadership council meetings, and two annual events.
· Lead application and selection process for the MBA program to identify the most qualified companies for the next MBA Cohort, ensuring a diverse and committed group of candidates who will contribute to and benefit from the program.
· Serve as primary point of contact for volunteers involved in the MBA program, including program chairs, sponsor representatives, and leadership council members.
· Work closely with the MBA Alumni Chair to build-out alumni programming for MBA graduates to continue growth and development while staying engaged with the Chamber.
· Develop, implement, and be accountable for MBA’s annual program budget.
· Collaborate with the Chamber’s Marketing & Communications Department to keep Chamber members and the broader community informed about the MBA program.
· Supervises the Foundation Program Coordinator, who supports the MBA program as well as the Chamber’s Leadership Programs. Provides guidance, resources, and professional development support to enhance program execution and team performance.
· Other duties and tasks as required.
Specifications
· Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate work experience
· Demonstrated success in program management and planning. 5+ years of experience required, experience in diversity/inclusion programming preferred
· Experience supporting small businesses in financial and organizational planning preferred
· Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); strong organizational and relationship-building abilities; excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong sense of ownership, work ethic, accountability, and strategic thinking
· Ability to quickly learn and effectively use Chamber’s database software
· Ability to perform job functions with minimal daily supervision
· Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude
· Demonstrates a strong interest in the mission and impact of the Tampa Bay Chamber’s Minority Business Accelerator program, as well as a passion for community development
· Flexible scheduling required – including early mornings and evenings during the week
Relationships/Accountabilities
· Accountable to the Vice President of Economic Inclusion and Leadership Development to execute program deliverables
· Responsible to meet and manage expectations of MBA participants, volunteers, speakers and sponsors
· Responsible for adherence to all Chamber policies and procedures
· Works cooperatively and positively with all Chamber staff members and volunteers to promote an environment of excellence, teamwork, dignity and respect.
· Exhibits a total commitment to maintaining high quality service standards of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce; demonstrates service excellence skills in dealing proactively with members, visitors, colleagues and all Chamber contacts.
