BASIC PURPOSE: The Communications Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the success of DRG. This individual will manage the end-to-end process of the creation of engaging content for DRG including but not limited to the following- manage surveys, assist in internal events, and ensure consistent, clear messaging across a variety of channels. Performs various administrative tasks supporting the organization’s communication functions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Communications Manager in managing the DRG Studios video initiative, including scriptwriting, scheduling, filming, editing, and posting videos. Will manage the production schedule and brainstorm concepts in addition to the weekly newsletter video. Help build comprehensive communication plans.
- Develop communication strategies for new tool rollouts, collaborating with key stakeholders to determine the most relevant messages for employees.
- Build inter-departmental relationships and manage surveys/polls to gather employee data and feedback to ensure we are capturing all audiences as well as department feedback.
- Continues to seek creative ways to reinforce tools throughout the year.
- Create branding, logos, and messaging for new tools and initiatives, ensuring content resonates with DRG employees from the moment the tool is introduced.
- Play a key role in the ongoing success of DRG campaigns, analyzing user feedback and making improvements to enhance the employee experience.
- Partner with Benefits to drive ongoing engagement with the DRG Cares program, including managing employee incentives and prize giveaways related to donations.
- Proactively identify and promote employee stories and achievements within newsletters, blog posts, and social media channels to foster a sense of community and recognition.
- Assist with various aspects of planning and coordinating DRG annual events, including content development, presentations, and logistical support.
- Demonstrate expertise in video editing and proficiency with TikTok to produce engaging, concise videos featuring leadership and employees for internal communications, aimed at fostering unity across DRG.
- Assists in the creation and distribution of memos, press releases, newsletters, marketing collateral, or other communication documents.
- Collects final communications and inserts copies into approved formats, files, or documents.
- Distributes communications as directed and maintains records of delivery, receipt, or acknowledgement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in video editing and content creation for social media platforms.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to speak on camera and produce engaging content for internal audiences.
- Skilled in design (creating branding materials, visuals, etc.) and video production.
- Skillful in Microsoft Office, and other communication tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in related field
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field preferred
