Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Social Media Manager Specialist - Corporate Communications, Social Media is to manage and support the company’s public relations programs, including corporate narrative and storytelling against department goals and establishment of narrative through and management of corporate communications channels (global team member communications, social media, website, blog and newsletter). Activities include managing corporate communications programs, such as proof reading corporate narrative, blog posts, social media strategy and execution including blog posts, corporate social responsibility initiatives, awards recognition, sustainability communications and other programs that build corporate reputation. The Specialist – Corporate Communications, Social Media will oversee and analyze performance metrics and provide strategic recommendations to enhance engagement and brand visibility. This is a corporate position and will be working with all Sands. properties.
All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish social media implementation strategy around department goals, execute corporate narrative storytelling across all corporate communications channels.
- Develop and own department-relevant reports including social media analytics, newsletter analytics, presenting to relevant leadership stakeholders as directed.
- Implement communications programs.
- Collaborate with the communications team on social media content and schedule posts via management tool to our platforms.
- Proofreading and editing content for both social media and company website.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics to measure effectiveness of campaigns.
- Engage with our followers and partners via all social media channels.
- Updating content on our corporate website via WordPress which will include updating information, images, videos, and regularly scheduled news articles and press releases.
- Building our bi-weekly HTML company newsletter.
- Managing content on our digital signage via BrightSign platform.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
- BS degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field required. Consideration will be given for demonstrated experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 3+ years’ prior experience working with a variety of social media platforms.
- Previous corporate social media, internal communications or agency experience is preferred.
- Experience with designing and managing social media communications strategy and executing on it effectively.
- Working knowledge of SEO and keyword search.
- Working knowledge and understanding of WordPress platform.
- Basic knowledge of online marketing channels.
- Experience in Google Analytics a plus.
- Ability to solve complex problems; lead cross-organizational efforts; build relationships across organization boundaries.
- Demonstrated experience in writing and delivering captivating communications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to flex based on the needs of diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinking, creativity, flexibility and ability to work in a changing environment; resourcefulness and resiliency.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact appropriately with management, other Team Members and outside contacts of different backgrounds and levels of experience. Must be able to work in the corporate office located in Las Vegas. Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Must be able:
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.

- Utilize laptop and standard keyboard to perform essential functions of the job.
- Support the communications team with various administrative tasks as needed.
- Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the department using available resources (staff and budgetary), including enhancing department effectiveness and managing resources to eliminate excess cost or unnecessary expenditures.
- Collaborate with the communications team on company storytelling around important initiatives such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, awards and recognition, company news/business developments and other corporate initiatives.
- Collaborate with the communications team on comprehensive global internal communications campaigns around key corporate initiatives and messaging.
- Assist, and lead as directed, events and communications campaigns for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
- Oversee the corporate communications content calendar and manage all story-telling opportunities defined in the calendar.
- Organize and manage awards and recognition programs globally.
- Create relationships and serve as a corporate communications representative with various company departments to coordinate communications activities.
- Manage monthly editorial calendar.
- Assist direction of the social media strategy, narrative and voice and execute social media.
- Manage trade media lists.
- Perform job duties in a safe manner.
