Our client, an entertainment based non-profit organization, is looking for a Business Analyst!
Responsibilities- Act as a liaison between the software company and management to analyze and document current business processes, research and recommend best practices or procedural improvements, and systemize current manual processes.
- Serve as the lead IT liaison for Pension, Accounting, Contributions, Collections, Eligibility, Call Center, and Change of Address departments.
- Attend all pertinent meetings regarding technology solutions implementation.
- Serve as a member of the technology solutions steering committee.
- Represent user interests in all aspects of technology solutions implementation.
- Ensure the availability of necessary resources during technology solutions deployment.
- Assist with data scrubbing, data conversion, and system testing.
- Benchmark other industry health and pension plan call centers, such as PacifiCare and Blue Cross, for best practices.
- Coordinate and collaborate on projects with other department managers.
- Provide peer review for corporate communications.
- Support pension-related special projects (e.g., Actuarial Valuation, Supplemental Plan Non-Discrimination testing).
- Participate in additional special projects as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, and reliable attendance.
- Accept direction and developmental guidance from the supervisor.
- Work effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Analyze business needs to identify solutions, translating high-level requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business goals and system capabilities.
- Document functional and technical requirements, ensuring clear communication between business and technology teams.
Additional Responsibilities- Coordinate with the Manager of Communications/IT Liaison on the creation of website self-service features.
- Serve on the editorial board of the company’s employee newsletter.
Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 7+ years of experience in health or pension fund management.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with platforms like Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar tools.
- Proficiency in data visualization and BI tools such as: Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate change and drive process improvements.
- Critical thinking skills for analyzing and evaluating complex data.
- Azure DevOps experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of multi-employer pension and health plans is a plus
Physical Requirements- Ability to operate standard office equipment, perform tasks that may include bending and lifting up to 10 lbs., and sit or stand for extended periods.
