THE PERSON
We would be over the moon to work with someone who will compliment our culture rooted in a belief in our mission; a desire for constant learning; being unafraid of failure; and is humble in their work, but hungry to earn their keep.
The Digital Marketing + Communications Manager will see themselves in the examples below:
- You are a clear and compelling storyteller. You find joy in communicating clearly and evoking responses from your audience. Your social media presence emphasizes quality over quantity. When you share someone else's story they feel truly seen. You can naturally combine written and visual components to effectively get your message across. You are drawn to Camelback because you are excited by the stories we have yet to tell.
- You are an independent professional who gets stuff done. You sweat the small details when thinking about the components that need to come together in a project. You invest in getting to know team members as well as stakeholders that impact and touch the organization. You meet deadlines via careful planning, strong communication, and independent execution, even when you don't have full control over all of the elements.
- You are a natural collaborator. People want to work with you because your work makes their work better. People come to you because you have a knack for translating their needs into clear messages, even if they don’t understand what they want yet. You ask thoughtful and direct questions and possess a strong perspective-taking ability and a high degree of empathy.
- You are a learner by nature. You are that person that reads all the blurbs at the museum. Your curiosity encourages you to regularly seek out professional development opportunities to grow skills including your marketing + communications super powers. You ask a lot of questions that begin with the word ‘why’. When old folks get together you want to be in their presence to soak up their wisdom. You are constantly seeking out opportunities to better yourself both personally and professionally.
- You believe that genius is equally distributed but opportunity is not. You are committed to closing the racial gap for business owners. You understand how this will improve the economic conditions in this country in order to begin to dissolve historical systems of inequity and oppression.
- You unequivocally believe in our RFG manifesto and aren’t afraid to confront those who are misaligned! You understand the complexity and intersectionality of race, power, equity, and current systems of oppression. You understand that we must directly, consistently, and innovatively work towards solutions in order to foster thriving communities.
- You thrive in the entrepreneurial environment! You don’t just like change, you thrive in it. You are willing to take in all the information but don’t mind operating when there isn’t a whole lot either. You’re comfortable in making decisions and moving forward in this kind of environment.
- You believe in the growth mindset. You teach yourself through multiple sources and/or tools. You know that what something is today is not what it has to be tomorrow. You are naturally curious and ask questions.
- You step in and step up when needed. You don’t sweat the idea of being a trailblazer. In fact, you enjoy the challenge. You are the one your friends call when they need a reliable partner to do something they’ve never done before.
