Role Description
We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Coordinator / Social Media Coordinator to join our team and help elevate our brand presence across multiple platforms. This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Greater Chicago Area. The Social Media / Marketing Coordinator will manage social media channels, develop marketing strategies, create content, and providing comprehensive marketing support to ensure project and company success. The role will also involve collaborating with internal teams, engaging with audiences, conducting market research, and analyzing campaign performance to ensure alignment with the company’s objectives.
In this role, you will work directly under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, actively collaborating to define the scope and impact of your position. We are seeking a passionate self-starter who is enthusiastic about the potential for professional growth within this industry and the pivotal role they will play as we expand and solidify our marketing department. What You’ll Do:
Core Social Media Responsibilities:
- Create memorable and engaging content: You will translate our services, capabilities, mission, and vision of Frost Chicago into a compelling social narrative that engages new and existing audiences.
- Provide reporting and metrics: Collaborate with Marketing Manager to establish data-driven goals, reporting, and continued iteration based on learnings to measure success.
- Expand our reach and develop integrated engagement strategies: Collaborate with Marketing Manager on the development of strategies and executions for integrated campaign activations with the goal of expanding our reach, generating enthusiasm, and showcasing our expertise
- Manages social media accounts
- Social Media Calendar - Manage the short- and long-term social media calendar
- Execute organic and paid social media initiatives.
Core Marketing Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to support ongoing marketing initiatives and to align marketing strategies with company objectives, through ideation, planning, and execution to amplify engagement.
- Drafts, edits, organizes, and proofs various marketing collateral, including proposal content, award submittals, brochures, media relations pieces, and newsletter content to ensure content is comprehensive, competitive, and target-specific, as well as in accordance with the Frost Chicago brand standards.
- Assist in the implementation and tracking of marketing and social media calendars.
- Support in managing and coordinating all creative assets and marketing collateral for budget optimization.
- Researches clients, market trends, and background information to contribute to fully understanding the local competitive landscape.
- Provide general administrative support to the Marketing Manager (as needed).
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant BA/BS Degree required (Marketing, Communications, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.
- 1-2+ years experience in the Wedding, Experiential, Event Marketing or Digital Marketing industry is preferred.
- Proven track record of creating engaging and effective social media content.
- Skilled at developing social strategies, including innovative approaches and potential partnerships to meet goals, grow audiences, and reach new targets.
- An exceptional storyteller with expert understanding of the medium; always up-to-date on best practices and emerging platform capabilities.
- Basic graphic design skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for making small design updates and adjustments as needed.
- Experience with running paid ads - Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn ads, etc.
Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and practices.
- Graphic design knowledge in layouts, typography and marketing language.
- Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions, and legibility – attention to detail.
- Ability to tailor communication to different audiences
- Project management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to compile data to support reporting needs and communicate the findings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact and collaborate with team members and clients.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a hybrid role based at our Chicago office in Bridgeport.
- Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work for event content capture.
- Travel is not typically required.
The salary range for this role is between $48,500 - $58,500. We offer a hybrid workplace and a competitive compensation and benefits package.
