Position Summary
We are looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join Credit One Bank's Human Resources Employee Engagement Team. The Employee Engagement Team is responsible for creating and administering engagement events for Bank team members and effectively communicating information about these events as well as important information on employee benefits, compensation, recognition, Bank policies, and more. In this role, you'll report directly to the Internal Communications Partner and work closely with them to plan, create, and deploy effective internal messaging and campaigns to Credit One Bank’s over 1,500 team members. You’ll also work with other specialists on the team to help plan and execute employee events and initiatives as needed.
Summary Of Essential Job Functions
- Develop and plan creative campaigns promoting company-wide initiatives and events.
- Write and deploy effective internal communications that inform and engage, including emails, internal television screens, presentations, and more.
- Attend departmental quarterly business reviews and other high-level meetings to maintain a working knowledge of current business performance, objectives, and goals that can be distilled and shared with employees.
- Contribute to the Bank’s employee newsletter by working closely with the Internal Communications Partner as needed, including writing and editing assigned articles.
- Regularly meet and work with Executive Committee members to help craft and manage letters, emails, speeches, presentations, goals, and other projects as needed.
- Manage projects and collaborate with Marketing Communications, the Bank’s internal ad agency, on assignments that require visual elements.
- Work closely with the rest of the Employee Engagement Team to plan and execute events, fundraisers, recognition ceremonies, and more as needed.
- Shadow the Internal Communications Partner and perform additional duties assigned by them on an ongoing basis.
Position Requirements
- Strong writing and communication skills. This is primarily a writing position, and while you will be trained how gear your writing to this job, you will not be trained how to write.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, English, or related fields.
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience in creative or business writing.
- A demonstrated ability to manage projects and one’s time effectively.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and proactively.
- The ability to multi-task and juggle several jobs at the same time. Must be flexible enough to start and stop tasks to accommodate higher-priority tasks when they arise.
- Can take constructive criticism and edits and incorporate them into the learning process while mastering the Credit One Bank tone and voice.
- Computer skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- A strong visual sensibility and art-directing skills in working with photographers, videographers, and graphic designers are a plus.

- Basic Photoshop knowledge
- Experience interviewing subjects for content creation
