Role Description
This is a contract hybrid role (based in the NW suburbs of Chicago) with a commision add-on, for a Wholesale Assistant.
Your responsibilities will be to:
* Identify and approach new retailer accounts (brick & mortar plus online stores)
* Be informed & knowledgeable on our brand and products extensively
* Set up multiple lead captures for wholesale accounts
* Manage the Mailchimp wholesale newsletter promoting new arrivals & promotions
* Be creative & have fun with graphics & branding!
* Follow up on leads via phone and email
* Send out promotional catalogues via mail
* Manage retailer relationships & customer service inquiries
* Receive and relay feedback on products & orders from accounts
* Track growth and analyze sales performance
* Analyze traffic of lead capture
* Record & present key wholesale order & item metrics
You'll be meeting with the brand owners weekly/biweekly to go over your progress, your marketing performance, newsletter updates, new drops, relay any questions & feedback, and to bounce ideas off each other!
Qualifications
- Experience in wholesale operations, inventory management, and customer service, and sales
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing
- Knowledge of fashion industry trends and retail market dynamics
- Knowledge of software like Mailchimp & Planoly are a bonus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
