Senior MarCom and Sales Support Manager

Summary
The marketing team of an international manufacturing corporation is looking for a qualified marketing and sales support professional to join the team. The marketing and sales teams work in close collaboration, which means you’ll partner with the Global Marketing Director and sales team to assess and identify target markets and individual targets. You’ll also work with the marketing team on marketing and sales support tactics.
You will develop and activate marketing programs and tactics that engage targets and guide them through the brand’s sales lifecycle, and then measure their success. This is also the stage for your creativity, allowing you to craft internal and external communications and marketing copy, as well as work on the creation of select digital marketing efforts.
The official title for this position is Senior Marketing and Communications Manager.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Global Marketing Director, Sales New Business Development, Sales Account Managers, and other key players on all marketing, communications, lead generation, and sales support efforts that drive potential and existing clients to the next stage of the sales lifecycle
- Leverage key analytics and research to identify specific targets, where they are in the sales lifecycle, and what marketing and communication efforts will move them into further cycles – e.g., consideration, close, and advocacy. Further assess analytics to adjust marketing efforts and measure results
- Identify, develop, and drive marketing programs and tactics that positively represent the organization and support the sales lifecycle, from strategy through execution and measurement
- Plan, develop, drive, and, as needed, craft marketing copy and communications that deliver unified, consistent, and positive messages to internal and external audiences
- Develop or assist with creative for select tactics – e.g., web, social, videos, etc.
- Leverage HubSpot for creative loading and activation, sales lifecycle management, and sales support
- Effectively utilize SharePoint for internal and external partner sales lifecycle touchpoints and communications
- Measure Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) on all executed marketing efforts
- Provide some support of cross-functional teams, as needed
Gotta Have
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications preferred
- 8-10 years of experience in business-to-business (“B2B”) marketing that drives quantifiable sales results
- Excels in cross-functional engagement among the internal and external teams that drive marketing and sales success - with a natural ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
- Experience interpreting analytics to assess, identify, develop, adjust, and measure marketing and communication efforts
- Passion for leveraging the ideal mix of marketing tactics to drive sales metrics, including the ability to leverage “Solution Selling” to solve customers’ needs and pain points
- Experience planning, developing, and executing successful marketing programs and tactics, both independently and as part of a team – e.g., Social media, CRM emails, web, digital advertising, podcasts, videos, calendars, print materials, trade shows, live shows, events, promotional items, and more
- Excellent writing skills: Writing, editing, and partnering with subject matter experts to write marketing copy, external communications (e.g., articles, blogs, white papers, case studies, surveys), internal communications (e.g., newsletter, presentations, etc.), and select public relations materials
- Hands-on experience with keyword and pay-per-click (“PPC”) advertising
- Experience measuring “KPIs” on all executed marketing efforts
- Extensive experience using HubSpot for creative loading and activation, managing target communications, and marketing through the sales lifecycle. Includes sales support
- Solid experience utilizing SharePoint for internal and external partner communication touchpoints and sales lifecycle journeys
- Highly proficient in Looker Studio (previously Google Data Studio) and other analytics software, as required
- Highly proficient in WordPress to create and update web pages
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and possibly Premiere Pro for social media, video, web, and other creative content
- Proficient in XD and Dreamweaver for wireframe and web creation
- Deep familiarity with cloud-based tools
- Microsoft Office and Google WorkSpace
- A curious self-starter. This role requires taking initiative and running with objectives and assignments

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organized and detail-oriented with appropriate sense of urgency and excellent time-management skills
