Position Overview:
The Manager, Communication, Culture and Engagement, will drive programs and communications that enliven our mission and values so that they thrive throughout our organization. The Manager is a dynamic leader with a strong background in internal and external communication that has a passion for developing and executing multi-disciplinary communications, programs, policies and other initiatives to support organizational strategy and goals, provide transparent engagement, drive change and support a positive culture. The Manager will proactively translate strategic thinking into action plans and outcomes. The Manager will develop, manage and execute a strategic plan for Company communication, culture and engagement, including identification of measurable strategies, initiatives and milestones.
Position Responsibilities:
- Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to advise and collaborate on engagement and communication strategies, messages, and approaches across disciplines, cultures, and departments.
- Work cross-functionally to support our related communications strategy, including ownership of internal and external employee-focused communication.
- Work cross-functionally to support our employee- and culture- focused efforts, including working groups, focus groups, annual culture survey,, employee recognition programs, town halls and other meetings, internal newsletter and related communications.
- Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of engagement and communications efforts, providing regular KPI and other reporting to diverse audiences.
- Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams to support our employees, partners, customers, and the local communities to promote employee volunteer programs, corporate giving, and related initiatives..
- Work collaboratively to support public policy, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, issues management and reputation building efforts, effectively linking ESG, DEI and B-Corp to our business strategy.
- Collaborate across the Company to establish, support and report on ESG-related goals and implementation. Manage projects, communications and reporting of ESG, B-Corp and DEI strategy, goals, and overall performance.
- Conduct research and assist in planning and maintaining market competitiveness.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of experience in a role with extensive experience authoring communications for business-related audiences, 5+ years of experience in a project management oriented role, 5+ years of experience in human resources, or a combination thereof.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with experience developing communications for a variety of internal and external audiences, including executives, managers, front-line employees, external partners such as vendors, customers, non-profits and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with process improvement.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple competing interests and projects, and maintain composure, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively and successfully across various teams.
- Sound judgement and effective decision-making skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including by car and air.
Position Preferences:
- Experience working in a with B Corp certified company, including managing recertification processes.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
