Description
The Prevention Outreach Coordinator provides coordination and support to the Greater Boston Tobacco-Free Community Partnership Program (TFCP). The Greater Boston TFCP supports the Massachusetts Tobacco Cessation & Prevention (MTCP) goals and priorities to invest in and work with communities, especially with historically-oppressed communities, to reverse unjust policies, share decision-making power, and build community capacity to live a life free of commercial tobacco and nicotine. The TFCP focuses on commercial tobacco prevention but with the broader understanding that many of the “root causes’ that influence commercial tobacco usage, dependence and exposure are also contributing to other health inequities. The TFCP collaborates with local partners to prevent youth from starting to use tobacco/nicotine, protect everyone from secondhand smoke and promote free resources to help people quit in the Greater Boston region.
