Sports Business Leaders (SBL) is a rapidly growing community and event series connecting sportstech founders, entrepreneurs, and sports industry professionals. Our events attract leading organizations including Nike, the Eagles Autism Foundation, Deloitte, JPMorgan, and prominent venture capital groups, fostering innovation and collaboration in the sports technology ecosystem.
Position Overview
We're seeking a talented and passionate Digital Media & Community Intern to support our growing platform. This role offers hands-on experience in sports business content creation, community management, and digital media production, with exposure to leading figures in sportstech and sports entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and produce podcast content to maintain professional quality and engaging delivery
- Create compelling content for our newsletter, including:
- Sports industry news coverage
- Community updates and success stories
- Valuable insights and resources for sports professionals
- Manage and maintain our community database, tracking member information, event attendance, and professional networking connections
- Update and maintain website content to ensure current, relevant information
- Repurpose existing content across various platforms to maximize reach and engagement
- Assist with monthly in-person events in Philadelphia
Required Qualifications
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a bachelor's program in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in content creation and basic digital media tools
- Experience with database management and data organization
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Passion for sports business and technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with podcast editing software
- Familiarity with website content management systems
- Knowledge of sports technology landscape
- Previous experience in event management or community building
