Serving Our Seniors (SOS) is a non-profit organization based in Richland Hills, Texas. Established in 1981, our mission is to preserve the independence of senior neighbors in northeast Tarrant County. We offer a range of programs and services including Transportation, Helping Hands, and Social Outreach.
Role Description
Responsible for Serving Our Seniors (SOS) activities related to marketing. The position will lead all marketing efforts while working directly with staff in support of social media, eblasts, newsletters and other marketing areas.
Qualifications
- BS or BA from an accredited university in marketing, journalism, communication, or business preferred, experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
- Minimum two years of marketing experience
- Excellent organization skills and high attention to detail
- Works well in a team environment
- Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Suite, Canva, Constant Contact
- Proficient with social media (Facebook, twitter, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of marketing for SOS
- Recognize supporters, sponsors, chambers, grantors by seeking and obtaining proper information and publishing accordingly
- Assist with brainstorming and creating new methods to introduce and market SOS
- Leverage social media to target audiences to improve organizational visibility and fundraising activities as well as legacy initiatives
- Use surveys to get feedback from supporters and volunteers on how we can better serve
- Update website with current information and stories
- Prepare, coordinate and deliver a quarterly newsletter for SOS
Hours
20 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 9am to 1pm, time in office negotiable
