Job Description
We are seeking a content and digital communications strategist to join our fully remote team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about leveraging digital platforms to drive change, with expertise in content creation and online stakeholder engagement. Some regular travel will be required for this role.
Key Responsibilities and Anticipated Time Breakdown
- Client Project Management (20%): Effectively manage multiple client engagements while maintaining clear, responsive and consistent communication with client teams, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Content Creation and Strategy (30%): Collaborate across teams to create, edit and publish engaging, informative content for blogs, newsletters, social media and thought leadership platforms. Ensure content aligns with client goals and resonates with target audiences.
- Digital and Social Channel Management (30%): Manage clients’ online and digital presence, including website updates, newsletter and campaign management, social media strategy, multimedia content creation and cross-channel content development. Consistently create timely, relevant content for various digital platforms.
- Executive Platforms and Thought Leadership (20%): Manage and enhance the digital presence of executive leaders by creating thought leadership content, including blog posts, LinkedIn articles/posts and talking points. Develop media pitches, coordinate interviews and strategically position executives as industry leaders across digital platforms and media outlets.
Requirements
- Experience and Education: At least seven years of relevant experience in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field. Bachelor’s degree not required.
- Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of the education, workforce development, philanthropy or social impact sectors.
- Skills: Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, proficiency in digital media and creative platforms and strong organizational abilities.
- Digital Tools Proficiency: We regularly use platforms such as Google Workspace, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, Notion, Mailchimp, Squarespace, Canva, Zoom Webinar, Slack, etc.
- Personality Traits: Creative, self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
