We are seeking a Human Resources Associate to join the team at a thriving manufacturing plant in Northeastern North Carolina. This role requires a solid foundation in human resources practices, along with some prior experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Handbook Support: Assist in writing and maintaining the HR handbook to ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
- Communication and Announcements: Draft HR headlines, company announcements, and the company newsletter to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Written Communications: Draft letters and other forms of communication to support various HR initiatives and processes.
- Onboarding Assistance: Participate in new hire orientation and onboarding programs to facilitate a smooth integration of new employees into the company.
- HR Training Assistance: Assist in the development and delivery of HR-related training programs to enhance employee knowledge and compliance with company policies.
- Recruitment Support: Aid in recruitment activities, such as attending job fairs, posting job openings, and coordinating interviews.
- Employee Engagement: Participate in employee engagement activities, including regular interactions on the manufacturing floor to gather feedback, address concerns, and promote a positive workplace atmosphere.
- Payroll Data Management: Control and maintain the master data for payroll to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
- Benefits Administration: Help manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Support to HR Director: Act as the right-hand person for the HR Director, assisting with various HR tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory
- Experience in an HR role
- Prior HR experience in a manufacturing plant would be a BIG plus!
- Understanding of HR principles and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
