Position Title: Marketing and Engagement Manager
Organization: College Squash Association (CSA)
Location: Arlen Specter Center, Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid, with in-office expectations)

Position Overview
The College Squash Association (CSA) is looking for a dynamic and creative Marketing and Engagement Manager to lead and execute the organization’s marketing, digital media, and community engagement strategies. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for enhancing CSA’s online presence, engaging the squash community, and driving awareness and excitement around the sport. You will manage all digital communication efforts, including social media platforms, newsletters, and the CSA website, ensuring consistent, engaging, and brand-aligned messaging.
This position is perfect for a creative individual with a passion for squash who possesses strong graphic design skills and a keen understanding of digital media trends. As the Marketing and Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for developing compelling content—from promotional materials to event recaps—that resonates with players, coaches, and fans. This role offers an opportunity to enhance the CSA’s online presence, amplify championship events, and engage with the squash community nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Communications Strategy:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to enhance CSA’s digital footprint and community engagement.
- Monitor social media trends and user engagement, providing data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Assist in regular communication with coaches and stakeholders, maintaining schedules, and managing project timelines.
- Collaborate with schools, coaches, and athletic departments to coordinate communications and event logistics.
Special Event Planning:
- Assist in organizing CSA’s special events, including awards ceremonies, cocktail receptions, and Hall of Fame events.
- Coordinate logistics for these events, including invitations, venue setup, and award presentations.
Social Media Management:
- Design and implement social media campaigns to engage and grow the CSA community across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok).
- Manage day-to-day social media accounts, including creating posts, responding to comments, and monitoring engagement.
Awards & Player Recognition:
- Manage and coordinate player awards, including the Skillman & Richey Awards, Scholar Athlete recognition, Player of the Month, and Match of the Week.
- Track and oversee the nomination and selection process for all recognition awards.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of awards to players, teams, and the broader CSA community.
Content Creation:
- Organize, design, and publish the quarterly CSA newsletter, The Rally.
- Create graphics, videos, and other multimedia content for digital platforms.
- Produce and edit videos for social media and events, ensuring high-quality, engaging visual content.
Website Management:
- Update and maintain the CSA website to ensure accurate and timely content, in collaboration with the Commissioner and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in communications, social media management, or digital marketing.
- Strong writing skills, with experience developing content for multiple audiences.
- Proficiency with social media tools (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok, Facebook).
- Experience with website management (WordPress) and email marketing tools (MailChimp).
- Graphic design skills, with proficiency in tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Video editing and production experience (iMovie, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Ability to travel to CSA events as needed.
- Knowledge of or interest in the sport of squash is a plus.
Additional Information
- This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of working at least 3-4 days per week in the office at the Arlen Specter Center.
- Occasional travel will be required to support events and championship tournaments.
