POSITION: Communications & Marketing Specialist
LOCATION: Houston, TX 77056 (fully in-office Mon-Fri)
SUMMARY
Partners is seeking an on-site Communications & Marketing Specialist for our corporate office in Houston. In this role, you will support the EVP of Marketing, utilizing strong critical thinking skills and a keen eye for detail. You will identify the end users of your communications—whether internal or external clients, media, brokers, or the CEO—and understand how they will utilize the information you create.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer who will manage the company’s suite of corporate written materials, overseeing everything from drafting and editing to approval and distribution while serving as the primary content producer for the company’s website (WordPress experience required) and handling daily posts for LinkedIn and other social media platforms.

This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Marketing and is enterprise-facing/corporate in scope, primarily focused on big-picture communications, marketing, and strategy, across the company’s business lines and geographies

- Dynamic Content Creation: Craft and review all types of content—such as press releases, internal announcements, and social media posts—ensuring they are engaging and accurately convey the intended message. This includes re-reading documents after edits to confirm clarity and correctness.
- Effective Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with both internal resources and an outsourced design team to meet the graphical needs of various projects.
- Strategic Media Relations: Lead the media relations effort by drafting press releases and proactively following up with media outlets to maximize coverage.
- Improve Internal Communications: Write and manage internal communications while developing a library of case studies that showcase the company's achievements. Create a plan to streamline various aspects of the company’s internal communication mechanisms.
- Website Management & Content Publishing: Oversee the publishing and maintenance of the company website, ensuring up-to-date content and optimal user experience by staying abreast of and deploying SEO tactics
- Eblast Campaigns & Distribution: Create engaging content for company eblast campaigns, manage distribution, and analyze performance metrics to enhance future communications.
- Aligned Advertising & Promotion: Develop and execute digital and print advertising initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand and marketing goals.
- Seamless Event Planning & Coordination: Plan and coordinate the Partners’ Annual Client Event, ensuring seamless execution and positive client experiences.
- Proactive Social Media Management: Update and manage social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook), crafting compelling posts to engage audiences and enhance brand presence.
- High-Quality Newsletter Production: Write and edit the monthly internal company newsletter, working closely with the design team to ensure high-quality visual support.
- Proactive Stakeholder Engagement: Actively follow up with internal stakeholders to secure approvals while managing their expectations effectively. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills when facing obstacles, ensuring that projects are completed independently and without the need for reminders from supervisors.
- Creative & Positive Collaboration: Bring your best writing and creative ideas to collaborative brainstorming sessions with the EVP of Marketing.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Corporate-level writing proficiency is required.
- Expertise in WordPress, Google Docs, Microsoft (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe InDesign and Canva.
- Experience with social media platforms.
- Commercial Real Estate experience is a plus.
- General understanding of online lead generation through PPC/SEO campaigns and familiarity with marketing automation platforms like HubSpot, Marketo, and Pardot is preferred, though not essential for daily responsibilities.
- Proficient in drafting, editing, and publishing a variety of written content, including press releases and internal communications at the corporate level.
- Proven experience in managing and producing content at the corporate level on the WordPress platform.
- Ability to create and publish engaging content across LinkedIn and other social media channels, with a commitment to multiple posts daily.
- Strong commitment to thoroughly reviewing all content to ensure accuracy and completeness, catching any inadvertent errors or omissions.
- Capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Proficient in drafting press releases and effectively following up with media contacts to secure placements.
- Assertive in pursuing approvals and managing internal communications to keep projects on track.
- Capable of navigating roadblocks independently, ensuring projects progress without delays.
- Strong ability to work closely with the design team to create visually compelling content and advertising materials.
- Exceptional organizational skills to efficiently oversee all internal and external communications.
- Eagerness to acquire new knowledge and continuously improve skills to enhance work processes.
