This position will administratively manage one or more program/s within the School of Medicine (SOM).This position will assist the CFAR Director, the CFAR Associate Director, and CFAR Program Director with the administration of multiple federal and privately funded program projects in HIV/AIDS research.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- To independently design, develop and administer program content for the assigned program.
- To establish program objectives, maintain policies and procedures, serve as liaison between the program and internal/external stakeholders.
- To provide administrative support to faculty, staff, students and the outside community.
- To manage assigned program
- Management of the center's website, newsletter, and social media accounts including creation of content and engagement will be a part of the position
- Collect and analyze data reflecting programmatic outcomes for reporting to federal partners
Skills
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Characteristics
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Basic Science, Clinical Science, or Public Health related), Advanced writing skills
- Strong communication skills to assist with grant preparations and reporting requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is necessary.
- Correspondence with HIV researchers and the ability to manage tasks independently under general supervision is required.
- Experience planning and hosting large conferences and meetings. candidate should Possess a professional attitude, a strong work ethic and be comfortable working in teams with defined
- Must be able to work independently and follow instructions under general supervision
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills necessary
- Understanding of scientific language, techniques and clinical terms
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- And three (3) years of related experience required
- Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
