Kamp throws some of the best startup and vc events around the country. We have over 720 testimonials and some of the best startup speakers in the world who spoke at our fun pop up events. As a super young startup ourselves, we are growing quite fast (180% YoY) and starting to bring on specialists to help in different departments.
The ideal candidate will be responsible leading ALL marketing efforts for Kamp. This does include social media management with a strong content creation background, digital marketing with monitoring/creating campaigns, forming and maintaining promotional partnerships.
Your main goal is to drive awareness to our events, tickets and sponsorship sales (with inbound and outbound marketing tactics). DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN'T DO THIS!
Responsibilities
- Getting butts in seats at all of our events with multiple initiatives
- Manage our social media channels with daily stories/postings/engagement
- Creating meaningful content via Canva to be used weekly
- Managing and creating our current/future promo partnerships
- Running our digital ads (FB, Insta, google ads)
- Securing founders for "Founder Friday's" takeover on our Instagram
- Manage our biweekly blogs and newsletters (Beehiv - coming soon)
- Create marketing funnels for our ICP when visiting the website pages
- Making sure all events are sold out
- Creating funnels to drive more potential sponsors
Musts
- 4 years experience with driving ticket sales 30% YoY
- 7 years experience with managing a business instagram and/or twitter account with 10,000 (real) followers
- 5 years experience with running digital ads with proof of at least 30% growth YoY for their following and/or revenue
- 3 years experience with designing on Canva or Adobe Photoshop
- Great communication (verbal and written) skills
- Must be a go getter and self starter since Kamp is a very small startup team
- Must know how to use Slack, Pipedrive, Beehiv (newsletters), X, Instagram
- Deep understanding of startup/vc/biz vocabulary to write blog posts and content
- Must be comfortable working with a super small team & be able to be a self starter
Must be willing to roll sleeves up and get the job done - help selling out our events and creating a lasting digital brand. We have an existing community but want to level up with our socials, digital, newsletter, partnerships and out reach.
Note: This is a part time position 10-15 hours per week (M&F must work in person in FT LD office and the rest remotely). Having another full time remote job is fine. This will lead to a full time position in 2025. $1K per month for now + bonuses + equity.
