The Content Marketer plays a critical role in the development, production, and execution of Razny Jewelers’ content strategy. You must be a highly skilled writer for internal and external audiences, and your messaging continuously reflects Razny’s brand voice.
You leverage metrics to engage target audiences, raise awareness, and increase sales. You are creative, detail-oriented, highly organized, dependable, and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to do whatever it takes to get things done.
This position is full-time on-site and reports to the director of marketing.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive a unified brand voice and develop, amplify, and align key messages and content.
- Develop content pillars for each brand to drive awareness, brand loyalty, and conversion.
- Draft compelling, well-structured, engaging content that aligns with Razny’s voice and style and is tailored or localized for different platforms, segments, and audiences.
- Drive the development and execution of content production, including researching, writing, sourcing, and interviewing Razny leaders and/or brand experts as necessary
- Handle strategy, planning, and execution of content plans across touchpoints, including social, website, earned media, email, digital, blog, advertising, video, and sales collateral
- Create and distribute internal communications, including articles, emails, newsletter copy, and other content types.
- Develop, draft, edit, and run/place press releases, bylines, and blog posts; pitch pieces for product roundups and holiday gift guides
- Review and edit market-ready articles for grammar and technical accuracy before publishing.
- Implement effective SEO strategies to maximize content visibility and audience reach.
- Work with marketing and cross-functional teams to ensure content supports the overall strategy of brand events, activities, and launch campaigns.
- Leverage analytics to monitor content performance and use insights to enhance content strategies, develop new ideas, and improve engagement and conversion rates with target segments.
- Own content calendar and workflow.
- Oversee content audits, update and archive outdated materials, and create an asset management library.
- Stay current with industry trends, copywriting tools, and best practices to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of the content produced.
- Manage content and brand blog reporting, ensuring timeliness, quality, and consistency; evaluate creative output and develop/report on KPIs.
- Monitor review and search engines to ensure boutique hours are updated and check customer reviews; draft customer service responses as required.
- Write and post calendar alerts in community calendars and local newsletters; track and report placements.
- Handle miscellaneous day-to-day marketing activities as assigned.
- Support the marketing director or other team managers as needed.
- Provide on-site event support, including evenings and weekends, with advance notice.
Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of professional writing experience.
- Strong creative and storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for attention to detail.
- Experience writing luxury, jewelry, retail, and fashion content and copy preferred.
- Ability to connect content plans to business goals and customer and market insights
- Must have exceptional verbal, writing, and editing skills using a variety of writing styles (e.g., corporate, narrative, storytelling, etc.).
- Must have expert proofreading skills and knowledge of AP style.
- The flexibility and patience to incorporate feedback from various internal and external stakeholders or change direction.
- Employ a solutions-oriented mindset and ability to problem solve in real-time.
- Previous experience capturing brand identity and tone of voice in all communications.
- Must be able to multi-task (including on multiple brands, in various formats and styles, adjusting content to meet the needs of different platforms and audiences), prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Confident in interpreting and translating brand strategies and equity - while capturing jewelry, fashion, and lifestyle trends - into daily social and brand content.
- Deep understanding of project management - scoping work, prioritizing workflow, managing deadlines, and liaising with stakeholders.
- Possesses strong collaboration skills and ability to influence and drive alignment among stakeholders across all levels and functions, from staff to leadership.
- Experience managing an extensive content portfolio across diverse platforms and formats.
