WHAM (Women’s Health Access Matters) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the health of women through research and investment. WHAM aims to change the healthcare ecosystem by focusing awareness on the economic value of investing in women’s health research.
Position Overview
The WHAM Women’s Health Associate reports to the Chief of Staff & Strategic Partnerships to support WHAM Initiatives. This position will provide operational support, website and social media management, event assistance, and communications support.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support to the Chief of Staff & Strategic Partnerships.
- Provide project management support for multiple initiatives, including scheduling, report and presentation production, and external convenings.
- Research and draft materials including correspondence, research summaries and external outreach materials.
- Draft and organize materials to support project meetings, board materials, and newsletters.
- Help plan and execute in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
- Support convenings on-site including interfacing with event venue.
- Assist in updating WHAM’s website regularly; ensure accurate and timely posting of events, news, press releases, reports, newsletters, including for WHAM Affiliates.
- Maintain the events calendars and assist in managing post-event content.
- Assist in growing and maintaining social media and communications databases.
- Provide support for WHAM's social media platforms; assist in the development and implementation of the social media calendar and engage with online comments and tags.
- Provide support for WHAM email communications, including drafting content, design, and layout.
- Assist in curating and drafting content for the bi-monthly WHAM newsletter.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in alignment with WHAM’s mission.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong interpersonal skills to represent the organization to senior level partners and collaborators.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong project management and progress tracking skills.
- Ability to support multiple staff calendars.
- Effective information research and analytical skills, including synthesizing and summarizing information for presentation to multiple types of audiences.
Experience
- Experience with event planning and management.
- Experience managing organization social media accounts.
- Familiarity with MailChimp, Canva, and data collection and management software preferred.
- Bachelor's degree.
- One year of relevant work or internship experience.
Travel: This position requires occasional travel for meetings and conferences.
Location: Remote
Compensation: WHAM offers a competitive salary. At this time, no benefits are available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
