Job Description
Part Time: 12-15 Hours Per Week
Reporting directly to the Executive director, the CRM manages multi-faceted, comprehensive communications between SSND Educational Center and all aspects of the community. He/She manages strategies and online platforms that represent and promote the mission of SSND EC to our network of current and potential supporters. The CRM will cultivate community relationships, especially in Queens, and will engage audiences in a variety of manners, especially through dynamic social media platforms, digital content, and engagement in community affairs.
Responsibilities:
· Understand, embrace, and promote SSND EC mission, along with mission and charism of SSND
· Manage and regularly update social media presence, including website, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. This requires presence at and assistance with all SSND EC major events.
· Build and maintain alumni network/database in Microsoft Excel
· Learn and DonorPerfect in order to cultivate relationships with top 100 donors
· Strengthen and grow relationships with community partners and civic leaders, as directed by the Executive Director
· Research and obtain MWBE (Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise) Certification for SSND EC
· Produce and distribute of all major promotional materials, including flyers, brochures, online monthly newsletter, and PR materials
· Assist with video production content, as needed
· Assist Development Director with special projects and events
· Assist Executive Director with all other projects, upon request
Required Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas: media; public relations; marketing; communications; English; or other related major areas
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Passionate about empowerment of women
· Enthusiasm, energy, eagerness to learn, and a sense of humor
· Excellent writing skills
· Proficiency in all social media (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook)
· Experience with Digital content creation (knowledge of Canva, Microsoft, and Google suites)
· Community outreach; community service; or non-profit organizational work
· Outgoing and entirely comfortable in large, social and professional settings (e.g., networking events)
· Independent, creative thinker and worker
Preferred Skills and Competencies
· One-three years of job experience, especially in non-profit or related area
· Video editing (Adobe suite; Final Cut Pro)
· Web design (WIX/WordPress)
· Conversational in languages other than English (especially Spanish and/or Arabic)
· Experience in adult education, particularly GED and ESOL
