The People Operations Associate is great at balancing an empathic approach to our team the need to be consistent and fair. They recognize when there is a need for change, and then take steps to drive that change. This person always strives to understand the “end user” of each experience and plans with that in mind, anticipating questions before they are asked, and creating tools for success.
Here Is The Type Of Work You Will Do
- Assists with the administration of benefits, including open enrollment and processing employee changes.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Serves as chief administrator for the People Operations Team, which includes processing employee-related mail, tracking employee situations, ensuring compliance deadlines are executed in a timely manner, and ensures the team is moving priorities forward.
- Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
- Serves as the main point of contact for employees through the People Operations Inbox, which includes flagging employee concerns, documenting changes appropriately, and following up as needed.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Ensures employee onboarding and offboarding processes are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Partners with the Finance Team on payroll to ensure seamless communication between People Operations and Finance Departments.
- Serves as the point of contact for any questions regarding benefits or leave.
- Serves as the executor for the People Manager Program, which includes uploading content for People Manager Calls, proposing Slack posts for engagement, and executing the monthly People Manager Need to Know Newsletter.
- Attends local college career fairs and supports local recruitment efforts as needed in Denver.
The salary for the People Operations Associate role will range from $65,000 - $75,000. Salary is determined based on current market data and candidate experience level.

Requirements
- A minimum of three years of related human resources professional experience and/or training required.
- Proven experience supporting a 300+ organization in a similar role
- HR Certification preferred.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment required.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration and applicable federal and state laws preferred.
- Prior experience in office management for a small office ranging from day-to-day tasks to in-person event planning.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills required.
