Part-Time Membership Retention Specialist
Are you a motivated, outgoing, and tech-savvy multitasker looking for a fulfilling role? We’re seeking a Part-Time Membership Retention Specialist to support our small team at the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce for 20 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting both our staff and the continued growth of the Chamber, while helping foster strong relationships within the Laguna Beach community.
In this role, you’ll assist with a variety of administrative and member-focused tasks. You’ll contribute to operations, events, marketing efforts, and member relations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic, community-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
Member Support & Communication
• Respond to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with professionalism and warmth
• Conduct outreach to prospective members and follow up on new member leads
• Maintain and update internal databases, including accurate member records
• Handle monthly membership billing and payment processing
• Support membership retention through timely communication and responsiveness
Marketing & Social Media
• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing on the Tuesday newsletter and marketing materials
• Assist in event coordination and promotions for Chamber programs
• Assist Director of Marketing in maintaining a consistent presence across social media platforms to boost engagement
Committee & Event Support
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to staff to ensure smooth office operations
• Assist in coordinating logistics, communication, and materials for Chamber committees
• Support planning and execution of events, including setup and follow-up tasks
• Miscellaneous office duties
• Participate in evening and weekend events as needed, based on the Chamber’s calendar
