What You’ll Do
This is a Full-Time SEO and Content Marketing Manager position where you’ll play a key role in growing Spot Easy’s online presence and brand visibility. This dynamic, hands-on role is focused on driving traffic, building community, and amplifying Spot Easy’s presence through strategic SEO and content initiatives.
SEO (70%)
You’ll lead our SEO strategy to increase organic visibility and traffic. This includes conducting keyword research, writing SEO-optimized blog content, sourcing high-quality backlinks, identifying on-page SEO improvements, monitoring performance using tools like Semrush, and reporting on key search-related metrics. You'll play a central role in building our domain authority and helping renters discover Spot Easy through search.
Content Creation (25%)
You’ll create engaging digital content that resonates with our Boston-based audience. This includes drafting our Everything Boston weekly newsletter, creating social media content like Instagram reels, and designing visual assets using Canva. You’ll also help shape the brand voice across Email Marketing and Instagram, staying on top of local and digital trends to uncover unique content opportunities that speak to our community. You will be expected to share social media marketing analytics on a weekly basis.
Events & Ad Hoc Projects (5%)
You’ll support marketing events, and occasional community activations. You’ll also collaborate with the CEO and Operations Director on special projects and campaigns that support broader business goals related to other stakeholders, like our growing Real Estate Agent community.
You’re Good At
The ideal candidate is passionate about SEO, content creation, marketing, and communications. You’re a self-starter with excellent project management skills and the discipline to follow through on tasks and deliver results. You take full ownership of your work, manage your schedule effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. You approach challenges with curiosity, flexibility, and resourcefulness—always looking for cost-effective solutions and creative ways to move forward. You have a strong interest in SEO and writing, maintain an active social media presence, and keep a close eye on digital marketing trends to capitalize on unique content opportunities. You’re highly organized, a clear communicator, and comfortable juggling multiple projects while collaborating with senior team members. This is an in-person role based in Boston, and you should be available to work from our office at least three days per week—ideally Tuesday through Thursday.
What You'll Bring
- Recent grad (May 2025) or 1+ years of experience in search marketing, content creation, or communications (internship and co-op experience welcomed!)
- Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Semrush for keyword research, tracking, and competitive analysis (required)
- Understanding of on-page SEO, backlink strategies, and how to write for both people and search engines
- Experience creating and managing content on Instagram
- Familiarity with design tools like Canva for creating marketing assets and social visuals
- Interest in Real Estate and lifestyle marketing and building digital communities—you're tapped into local culture and trends
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple deadlines without heavy supervision
- Comfort working in a volatile startup environment—resourceful, proactive, and flexible
- Bonus: experience with newsletter tools (like Brevo and Klaviyo), basic knowledge of Google Analytics and Meta Ads Manager
- Relevant academic background in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research & Analytics, International Business, or Advertising
- Available to come into the Boston office in-person, three days a week.
Who You’ll Work With
Primarily with the Operations Director and CEO located in the Boston office.
Compensation
$70,000 Annual + Stock Options
