WHO YOU ARE:
Teton Ridge is seeking a dynamic and focused Sports Production Coordinator. This role executes on all aspects of rodeo event production, competition administration, and athlete communication. Including supporting the successful execution of rodeo events by managing show approvals, producer relations, sponsor coordination, vendor setup, travel and contract labor staffing. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that sanctioned events meet organizational standards, maintain strong relationships with producers and sponsors, and operate efficiently from an administrative and logistical standpoint.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Internal Collaboration: Assist in ensuring event schedules and meetings are communicated to Teton Ridge employees and contractors. Liaise with Finance and Accounting to oversee budgets and ensure timely athlete payments. Coordinate with digital and social media teams to optimize onsite vendor integration and promotional efforts
- Vendor Relations: Assist in the coordination of domestic and international venue and vendor partnerships, including contract negotiations and pre/post-event communications. Assist with onsite vendor operations to ensure seamless execution. Assist with stock vendors and athlete logistics to facilitate the proper delivery, storage, and care of livestock throughout the rodeo
- Competition Administration: Ensuring entry rules and deadlines are adhered to in collaboration with key stakeholders. Work closely with timing, judging, and secretarial teams to ensure competition integrity. Ensure competition software system streamlines the athlete experience and event operations. Onboard tournament events of varying scope and facilitate all parts of the approval process including but not limited to signage, web listing, athlete newsletter and SMS, promotional assistance and compliance with Teton Sports Contender event standards. Inputting results and maintaining official standings
- Athlete Communication & Relations: Update and maintain the athlete qualification, scoring and confirmation process throughout the regular season as well as at events. Communicate with athletes via email, newsletters, and SMS notifications. Enhance the athlete experience by improving communication processes and entry systems. Ensure prize money is distributed to the appropriate contestant. Coordinate with Teton Ridge’s finance and accounting department regarding all necessary audit and compliance data for payment is received
- Marketing & Promotion Support: Collaborate with marketing teams to promote ticket sales and event awareness. Connect venue marketing teams with TR Sports marketing personnel to maximize exposure and engagement. Assist in the development of promotional graphics and digital assets. Maintain sports websites
- Special Projects: Administer data operations related to any one of Teton Ridge’s Owned Sports, including ticket demographic tracking, contracts, and event logistics. Support the growth initiatives such as the expansion of events, strategic alliances and industry partnerships as well as economic impact studies for regional markets
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in rodeo operations, event management, project management or a similar role, preferably in the media, sports, or entertainment industry
- Proven track record of managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in CRM tools and project management software (e.g., Google, Office, Monday)
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations
- Experience in the Western sports and media industry or a passion for the Western lifestyle is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of sponsorships, advertising, and digital media platforms
- Familiarity with event production, live broadcast operations and able to meet strict deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to coordinate across multiple people in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
- Ability to build and maintain trust with diverse stakeholders
