Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Senior Social Media & Community Marketing Manager to lead and evolve our community-driven social media strategy, driving brand awareness and customer engagement. In this pivotal role, you will blend content development, community management, and field marketing to build authentic relationships with both our external audience and internal associates, manage our social presence across key platforms, and support broader marketing initiatives.
As a key driver in shaping the brand’s voice, you will create engaging content from concept to execution, working closely with the creative team and Head of Content to amplify our brand voice and connect with our audience at every touchpoint. You’ll focus on crafting content that resonates, amplifies our brand, and drives awareness and client conversion.
This fast-paced, results-oriented role requires you to manage multiple projects simultaneously, stay current on trends, test new ideas, and adjust in real-time.
You’ll need a hands-on approach, combining creativity with strong project management skills to execute campaigns effectively. The position also requires someone confident on-camera and comfortable producing content in various formats (with support from our creative team), including photography, video, and copy.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop & Execute Community-First Social Media Strategy: Lead and execute a comprehensive, data-driven social media strategy, with a focus on organic content, community building, and engagement across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, and Youtube). Your strategy will amplify our brand mission, product offerings, and values while driving measurable growth and engagement.
- Community Management & Engagement: Oversee daily social media community management—engaging with followers, responding to comments, fostering meaningful conversations, and building long-term relationships with our online audience. Lead efforts to deepen the relationship between our brand and its communities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the creative, content, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of social campaigns. Provide strategic input into content development, from ideation to execution, ensuring all output aligns with brand voice and objectives.
- Field Marketing & Local Content Creation: Work closely with our Head of Content to create content that resonates with our local Bay Area community, attending events, capturing client stories, and showcasing our product impact. Drive in-the-field activations to build brand presence and engage with local audiences in real time.
- Content Creation & Curation: Create unique and engaging storytelling through both planned campaigns and real-time content, and produce impactful video content (in partnership with our designers and videographers) that speaks directly to our audience's interests and needs. Collaborate on or create visual assets—such as photography, motion graphics, and video—while ensuring high-quality execution and visual appeal. Additionally, produce internal communications, including the Executive Interest newsletter, to keep associates informed and engaged. Lead and produce campaigns that highlight the philanthropic initiatives of the Fremont Bank Foundation.
- Trendspotting & Content Innovation: Identify industry trends, pop culture movements, and relevant conversations to drive timely and resonant content. Stay ahead of social media trends and leverage new tools to continuously evolve the brand’s social presence.
- Data-Driven Performance & Reporting: Monitor and report on social media performance, track KPIs, and analyze community sentiment. Use data to optimize strategy and iterate on content to meet business and marketing goals.
- Paid Social Media Strategy: Experience with Meta and LinkedIn paid campaigns is a plus. Work with the digital marketing lead to define target audiences, set budgets, and create ad copy and assets that support broader marketing campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in social media & community marketing with a proven track record of growing social media presence, managing communities, and executing successful campaigns. Experience in the financial services or community-focused sectors is a plus but not required.
- A self-starter with the ability to generate ideas and execute effectively.

- Reliability: Proven track record of following through on tasks, managing details, and meeting deadlines independently.
