MAPP is a nonprofit organization focused on empowering women into culinary and hospitality leadership through mentorship and advocacy. We are seeking a Mentorship Outreach/Events Coordinator to support strategic growth, strengthen community engagement, assist with events, and enhance program delivery. This role is ideal for someone eager to dive into projects, work independently, and take on new challenges while helping to grow MAPP’s reach.
Key Responsibilities Include:Membership Growth & Engagement- Assist in expanding MAPP’s membership base by gathering member feedback and identifying ways to enhance engagement.
- Manage and update membership lists, track renewals, and assist in outreach efforts to retain and attract new members.
- Work closely with the social media and marketing teams to execute membership outreach campaigns, including email newsletters, direct messaging, and digital engagement strategies.
- Support RoadMAPP, MAPP’s mentorship initiative, by coordinating mentorship pairings, tracking participant engagement, and promoting opportunities for new members to get involved.
- Help identify new audiences and community groups that align with MAPP’s mission to grow the organization’s impact.
Program Support & Events- Assist in planning and executing events such as virtual town halls, mentorship circles, networking events, and partner initiatives.
- Manage logistics such as venue selection, speaker outreach, event promotion, and attendee communication.
- Increase community impact to coordinate MAPP’s mentorship meals, conferences, and fundraising dinners.
- Ensure smooth execution of advocacy and mentorship programming by tracking goals and assisting with reports.
Marketing, Communications & Outreach- Contribute to MAPP’s biweekly newsletter, website updates, and email campaigns to engage members and partners.
- Help amplify MAPP’s impact and visibility by supporting media outreach, developing engaging content, and promoting events to new audiences.
- Collaborate with the social media team to ensure MAPP’s initiatives are well represented across digital platforms.
- Assist in developing marketing materials that highlight MAPP’s mentorship programs, impact stories, and advocacy efforts.
General Administrative Support- Participate in weekly team meetings and coordinate across teams to align on goals.
- Maintain organized records, update internal databases, and support tracking key program benchmarks.
- Help streamline operational processes to ensure efficient program delivery and growth.
Qualifications:- 1-3 years of experience in event coordination, community engagement, nonprofit work, communications, or a related field (internships and volunteer experience count!).
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Passion for mentorship, leadership development, and community building.
- Familiarity with digital tools (email platforms, social media, spreadsheets, or event management software like Eventbrite) is necessary.
- Eagerness to take initiative, solve problems, and grow within a mission-driven organization.
- Hours & Schedule: Flexible, with a minimum of 15-25 hours per week. Remote work with travel for events as needed.
